Hey guys,
I'm new to owning a VG259QM. The last monitor I had was 144hz asus monitor. I was wondering if I should leave OC on and run 280hz all times? Will this lower the lifespan of my monitor or even damage it at all? Or should I just run at 240hz all the time? I'll be using this monitor mostly for gaming, so would be bit of a pain to switch back and forth. I'd rather just run a constant hz. That's why I'm wondering if I should just use this at 280hz all the time or if that will end up having negative effects, then should I just run at 240hz all the time??
Thanks!
I decided on going with 240hz, as I found maybe some increased lag when trying to run 280hz all the time. My PC in most games I play can get upwards of 280 fps, but in most cases is more around 240 fps.

Anyway, I will be returning this monitor. I've been using it for a week and it already has a dead pixel on the screen. Just ridiculous. ASUS's warranty states that the monitor needs 3-5 dead pixels for it to be fixed. Insane.
about lifespan. there are a lot of people that use this panel for years with OC+ overdrive 120 and there is no problem at all 100%. to be short OC won't damage the monitor.

about hz. i play mostly an old game (quake live with stable 250fps) and i can firmly assure you that any other option except 280hz provides huge input lag. this panel is a pure treasure only at 280hz

Hey guys, the search doesn't give me results, what's the panel name of your VG259QM? I just got a new unit of this monitor yesterday and I'm not sure if the panel is the same. Seems like this unit is a newer batch (Dec 2020, previously had all from Nov 2020 I think). The panel name on my unit is Qisda Q250HAA00. Is it the same?

Hi, new to the forum here.

I've also got the VG259QM, how do I check the panel's name? How can I get the OSD that appears in this photo, or is it a different app? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,

I can get VG259QM with old Qinsa panel. Do you think these days it is still better choice than AOC 24G2Z or iiyama GB2590HSU?

Hello,

I recently bought a VG27QM monitor, and it currently has the MCM101 firmware installed. How good is this firmware? How can I update the firmware on this monitor? Also, is there any problem if I perform the steps mentioned in the first message?

should i cap fps when i dont almost reach them? VRR you mean G-Sync ? I’ll just add, wouldn’t it be better to set Battlefield 6 to 240 Hz, since I currently have 280 Hz but don’t have a stable 280 FPS in BF6?

Just moved from VG279QM to Acer XV240 F6. Didnt found any reviews online, only some chinese videos. Its a 24' 600hz TN panel. The image quality is not far from the ips, the PPI is a bit better and i saw a very noticiable increase in text quality, input lag is a bit better than the asus and the motion clarity with VRB (extreme) is awesome, it looks surreal. VRB has two settings; normal or extreme. The brightness is higher than the asus ELMB at max brightness. Also, overdrive has two options normal and extreme. The last one has a bit of overshoot but its not so noticiable, but i set it on normal. When i first got the asus i tried ELMB with 280hz and it was impressive but now it is in another level lol, theres basically no ghosting or blur.

Theres a DSC toggle, if you disable it gets limited to 540hz. Im using this with a RTX 4070ti and the included displayport 1.4 cable.

The OSD is good, but i missed some basic settings like sharpness slider and deep sleep setting.

Paid about $600 (in Brazil R$3800). I know its very expensive but where i live the tax are absurd and we dont have many options. Theres some entry level/first gen OLEDs at $800 or higher but i wanted to try 600hz.

Greetings from Brazil.

I have the VG259QM and I'm playing BF6 at 100-130fps. Any recommendations for refresh rate and OD?

Thanks!

I have owned this monitor for years (Qisda panel) & had no issue until recently started running somewhat hotter-than-usual. Things also got blurrier, for anyone else who encounters this my somewhat fix so far was to switch to the official ASUS device driver, step down to 270hz/240hz, Perform scaling on GPU instead of display & enable ELMB. (optional move to the secret OD 120). If anyone has any tips or info I'm listening please lmk.
