There won't be any issue. 125Hz is better for your mouse, by the way, because it will syncronize perfectly (1000Hz mouse/125Hz monitor=8, or 500/125=4, or 125/125=1).
And yes, those are the values I'm using, except for VT, because I'm using 1501VT for 125Hz (in my case, at 1502VT there was an artifact that I call "waves that go down or up the screen").

Hey guys, im new there. I just bought a XL2411z monitor and i would ask which are best settings.
I read that there are many things to change and i just don't know what to do.
Also, i'm noticed that there are many firmware version and i actually dunno how to check mine, i would really appreciate if someone can explain me how to set this monitor in few words becouse as you can see im not even that good in english.
I mostly play fps and moba.
Nice to meet you all, and thanks.
Best regards

I noticed the waves too. If I put 121hz at 1502vt the lines are present but they are static, so I also used 1501vt at 125. Thanks

Use the blurbusters utility:
http://www.blurbusters.com/benq/strobe-utility/
If it works and doesn't give you any errors, then you have at least the V2 firmware (the bad one is V1).

It's hard to explain some things in a few words, but I'll try:
- Blur Reduction ON.
- Contrast between 40 and 50 (more than that will make colors clip).
- Brightness 100 (if you need something brighter or dimmer, adjust persistence in the blurbusters utility).
- Gamma: whatever you find the best. What you see varies with refresh rate and might be slightly different for everyone.
- Instant Mode ON.
- AMA High (or OFF, depending on your taste).
- Create custom resolutions with more Vertical Total with the Nvidia Control Panel (preferably) or ToastyX's CRU. Check the first post of this thread for some suggestions.

I see artifacts when trying to enable 1350 or 1500/1501/1502 with my BenQ 2411z. That was with 120 and 125Hz. I was using Toastx + AMD clock patcher. My monitor came with firmware v4

Did you see these artifacts at 100 hz?
If no, can you please tell us exactly what these artifacts looked like? Please describe carefully what you see.
Also, can you post the exact timings you used for 120 and 125hz, including the Horizontal total, pixel clock MHz, (heck just post everything).

What kind of artifacts?

It was like static electric lines or what not. You could clearly see that the picture was flickering in some places across the screen.
Found the problem. I did not change the Total pixel from 2200 to 2080 like its clearly pointed out in the BBR thread

Yeah, when I first got my 2720Z, the VT tweaks didn't even do anything, because I didn't use the pixel clock patcher when the pixel clock exceeded 330.00 MHz (330.00 is ok (e.g. 2200 HT 1500 VT at 100 hz puts you right at 330.00) but 330.01 needs the patcher. Then when I fixed that, I got the swimming pixels at 120hz. I found out then that the default HT was 2200, but when I used the timings for the "lightboost" timings (except the VT being at 1500 instead of 1149), 120 hz worked.
You're still pushing the limits hard, though. The pixel clock will be around 374 MHz with 2080 HT. Even though when using VT tweaks, the "display mode" settings in the OSD don't work reliably anymore (VT tweaks screw up the monitor's internal scaler, because it switches to 60 hz backlight pulse widths due to the monitor timings being out of specification),, try one of the "broken" scaling settings, like 17", 19", 21.5", etc. You'll get the swimming pixels again at 120hz (you won't get it at 100 hz).
BTW 1502 VT is hit and miss at 120 hz. Occasionally (on the 2720z), the strobing may jitter and not be steady, then power on and off the monitor (or switch to 100 then back to 120hz) and its suddenly fine. 1500 VT always works without a problem like this.
(I have the same problem at a custom 85 hz...1500 and 1502 pulse and stutter, while 1350 is fine. But at 84 hz, 1500 is fine while 1502 stutters).

Should i be worried when running my current settings then ?
Its rock solid with VT1501 @ 125Hz
