Sounds like a monitor to check out then. What are the attributes that you prefer with the Zowie?
Long answer to a short question:
The XL2546K looks a lot better to me with its balance of colors, gamma, brightness, etc. and is way more customizable than the XG2431. PureXP+ is every so slightly more clear than DyAc+ (both are very clear though), but you lose a lot of brightness with PureXP+ where you lose none with DyAc+. The highest two levels of PureXP+ (Extreme and Ultra) are practically unusable given their low brightness.
The XG2431 seems to give me eye fatigue/headaches where I'm not totally sure the XG2546K does. However, there's a chance I'm someone who gets fatigue/headaches from strobing and that neither monitor is going to be an excellent fit, as I've never had eye fatigue/headaches on any monitor I've used for the last 20 years (and I've been a PC power use the whole time). I'm actually using both monitors side-by-side right now still but with strobing off on both and it seems to be okay, so the issue could be strobing overall.
In general, I just much prefer looking at the XL2546K for all applications over the the XG2431.
However, and I don't know if this is specific to TN panels, BenQ, the XL2546K, or what, but I get some pretty bad text smearing/ghosting when scrolling through vertical text. I use my setup to work from home for 7-9 hours a day outside of gaming, and this text smearing/ghosting is probably going to be a deal breaker for me.

As someone who owned both and a med/low brightness user, I agree with some of your points. I find in terms of purexp I like how I can tune the brightness on the xg2431. Clarity wise definitely the xg2431 as you can clearly see the xl2546k has some blue stuff behind. Picture when on windows scrolling through chrome xl2546k has this green smear tint, xg2431 looks like a Normal ips(good). However in game, xl2546k is way more comfortable and on xg2431 I just get fatigue after a short while. Especially when on xl2546K I was doing long grinds 8hrs long and on xg2431 in 5 hours then need a break. Several people have spoken about the gamma and fatigue from xg2431. Maybe the problem is something else, maybe it is mixture of gamma + some other stuff. All in all I’d still take xg2431 over xl2546K, however I wish someone found a solution to this or there’s further monitor osd tuning to help with how the monitor looks.

I agree, there's something weird about the XG2431 that causes fatigue. My speculation is that it has to do with something in the way that the XG2431 does strobing compared to how DyAc+ does strobing. Purely a guess though.
As to your point about the green smear tint, turn down your contrast when DyAc+ is on. For whatever reason, when contrast is at 50 and DyAc+ is on you're going to get green smear tint. Turning it down even just a few points gets rid of it completely. I turned mine down to 30 as I liked the way it looked better, but either way it'll go away.

These tests were done AFTER color calibration (using the custom color temp mode)
Hey, I had the same obvious artifacting on ultrafast as you and ended up fiddling with my monitor settings after seeing a reply showing none of it on ultrafast. I did a memory recall just to see, set it back to ultrafast, and had no real visible artifacts anymore. Then I turned user mode color back on and they immediately showed up again. None of the other color presets cause it but user mode does without fail. I thought it was placebo when I felt like I played better on native. If there's any chance you can retest ultrafast to see if there's any meaningful difference in response times between native color or user at 240hz then I would greatly appreciate it.

Tested the XG2431 for a while in Apex yesterday switching between PureXP+ settings on and off. There's definitely something with PureXP+ on that gives me a bit of fatigue, but I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. That said, it provides a noticeably clearer experience as opposed to it being off, although it's not always 'better' per say, just different.
What I did notice is that Apex seemed 'juttery' with PureXP+ on. As I would pan around a room and make fast turns, sometimes it would be smooth, sometimes it felt like I got a stutter or that I got duplicate images or something. In a weird way, while it was noticeably clearer in motion, it didn't always feel 'smoother'. If anything, sometimes it felt unnatural.
More testing required.

This is the default behaviour of strobing on all monitors, read through
viewtopic.php?t=3555 for more information.
Strobing enhances stutters a ton, follow the link above for a clearer understanding on motion blur reduction. Also, the reason you are experiencing eye fatigue is because your eyes do not like strobing (have you used CRTs before or other monitors which support strobing?)

I sent back the Asus Tuf 280 hz. I have an Asus 360 hz arriving soon. I'm curious to see if I'm more interested input lag or motion clarity for fps gaming.
I really wish brick an mortar stores had a proper demo setup for this type of purchase. That's the point of an actual store. In Canada to buy a high end monitor you have Canada Computers, Best Buy, Amazon, and Staples. with the exception of Canada Computers at least you can return what you don't want but would be easier to try on site like you would a musical instrument at a music store..

I have two XG2431's and haven't noticed most of the problems people have been discussing on the last several pages.
The gamma seems accurate and similar to other calibrated displays. I think the people complaining are just used to overly-brightened gamma which can make things easier to see for competitive gaming. The default gamma seems correct though.
The colors seem pretty accurate and look about the same as other IPS and OLED displays I have seen in terms of sRGB coverage. Maybe just ever-so-slightly oversaturated.
The input lag seems very low and responsive, especially at high refresh rates. I think people should use proper equipment to test input lag as I presume lots of speculation here is just placebo. I didn't notice anything weird on HDMI or DisplayPort.
Eye-strain is typical for strobing I have seen, and the extent to which you notice the flicker is about the same as any other impulsed-display I have seen at a given refresh rate. I didn't have any strain issues with strobing off.
I agree with the above, I think people may be off-put by the more obvious stutter that comes along with clearer motion. I think most will agree this is a fair trade off though as opposed to having more blur to hide the stutter.

I am interested in this monitor, I would use it only to play valorant (elo radiant), would you recommend this or the asus tuf 280 hz? . I know that in terms of esport the best is zowie or alienware but it comes very expensive to my country haha

That’s part of why we generally recommend approximately 120Hz for easier stutter removal during PureXP. It is easier to do framerate=Hz if the Hz is low enough for the GPU but high enough to avoid flicker. As a bonus, it adds refresh rate headroom that reduces strobe crosstalk.
Some of eyestrain is often stutter-related eyestrain, and sometimes VSYNC ON has less eyestrain when used with strobing. Also high Hz mouse run at high DPI, low sensitivity, can greatly de-stutter slow mouse turns.
