amazing, gonna save these settings for if i get the 2546S. but what i meant was are you doing custom strobe calibration and running lower at 120hz like some people for "strobe crosstalk headroom" to get those great strobing results in your pic or is it just strobing normally with DYAC at 240fps?amezibra wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 10:08mine is an XL2746S ( the new one)kofman13 wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 08:53wow yours is so much better. and the colors are 1000x better than in that review pic! maybe they didnt calibrate it? your alien green and ship yellow is so well defined, in that review i saw it was all green mess. in your pic did you do the cross talk calibration trick where you run at 120hz instead of 240? or this is how it looks standard?amezibra wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 07:56my xl2746s has a clearer motion clarity with dyac on, not sure how they get thos blurry mess and compare it..kofman13 wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 18:45
I am also kind of tempted by the MAG251RX after i saw this...
I have been researching examples of Zowie's DYAC versus other strobing technlogies. In this review i saw online of MSI's MAG251RX strobing vs Zowie XL2546 DYAC i was surprised to see that MSI's strobing does a pretty good job. and i cant decide what i like more. You could say the DYAC is sharper, but somehow the when comparing the top image and MSI strobing vs DYAC, the DYAC looks kind of jagged and like someone cranked sharpness and contrast way too high, and the MSI strobing is more pleasing to my eyes. And the Zowie looks like image is doubling almost while the MSI image is smoother with strober although i dont know which i would like more in person. Also on a side note, on the MSI you can actually see a green alien on a yellow background while on the Zowie, the whole thing just looks like one big green colored blob. I guess thats because the MSI is IPS. and I always say to myself i value gaming performance over eye candy... but it worries me if while gaming this kind of lack of color difference would bother me with the zowie. (green and yellow scene all looking green)
Which example do you guys like more in this pic? the MSI or the Zowie?

I don't know if what I'll say make sense but I tried setting PreEmphasis and Voltage Swings in the radeon software to 2 (0 being stock) and especially with Voltage Swing I feel like the monitor seems much more responsive, I'm using an aftermarket DP 1.4 Vesa Certified cable, I didn't even try the stock one.
For those of you wondering what those two settings do: PreEmphasis supposedly improves signal-to-noise rateo and Voltage Swings regulates maximum and minimum Displayport output voltage
