I was really hoping to own this monitor before the end of this week. Oh well. Sucks to want the best for PDXLAN. nVidia will be there though, maybe the Asus ROG Swift will be too.

The latest I've heard on the release date for this monitor is that it is being shipped by boat to the US so it may not get here until August. Also, one guy on another forum mentioned that port workers are on strike so that may delay it even further. Can anyone confirm or deny this information?

Asus actually posted this on facebook.. so.. semi-official information.

They say partners will start pre-orders in early August. I guess I won't have my Swift in time for "Dragon's Teeth."

I want TFTCentral to review in depth ULMB and G-Sync. Strobe lengh, overdrive artifacts, possibilities... everything. I'm sick of waiting  .

Oh man, I was hoping by early August they would actually have them, not begin the pre-orders. Oh well, on the bright side it's more time to pony up the cash. Let's hope it's worth the wait!

I had a good laugh at the Photoshop of the lady transporting them by paddle. :P

The hate is strong in that post, but the guy did bring up an interesting point. I'm planning to drop $800 on a monitor that is going to include new technology, I would at least want some sort of update on the status of this product. Kind of upsets me. I want G-Sync and I want it now! lol.
