I’m actually leaning towards the Nitro a bit more now.
I can tell you from my limited experience with it that it's really fast. On the UFO test at 1920 pixels per second, there's almost no visible ghosting at all. However, this is with my own settings and the known contrast reduction trick. I have the overdrive on extreme, the brightness at 100, max brightness on, black boost at 10, and contrast at 0 (increase this if you need it to be brighter).

I am alternatively trying overdrive on extreme, the brightness at 100, max brightness on, black boost at 10, contrast at 10, and BFI on extreme.

They are both very solid options. I am not sure which I like more. I will have to do some testing.
what is "the known contrast reduction trick" ?
oh ok i thought you were replying to a recent post.

Yeah I tried his 100/0/"max-brightness"(which only seem to just boost it a bit more, at 0 or 100, which I honestly don't understand why you even want that), with the gaming settings on double extreme too.

VERY clumsy UI to get pass the blue filter being reset to 0% whenever you change brightness/contrast(that is, unless you don't even max blue filter
+ the VRB being reset whenever you change most "PICTURE" submenu stuff above too.

similar result(or at least tone) honestly to my double 8 dials, but like I said very messy to switch around, only one "user" profile slot, not sure the other "preset mode" slots save your changes, so I can't really compare easily.

I got some better ufotests to compare the XV252QF at 390hz with VRB ON OD Normal vs Extreme.
could you do some shots of unstrobed 300hz+360hz OD normal+extreme @1440pps(and 1920pps if possible)?

Reduce contrast to help eliminate more problematic and slow transitions to extremes. I have the black boost on maximum which makes blacks a lighter color (also has a competitive advantage of being able to see in darker areas easier). Also reduce contrast on the monitor itself and compensate by increasing the brightness of the panel. I saw a noticeable improvement with these settings on my old TN panel. On this IPS one, I think there might be an improvement, but it’s less noticeable.

I could do it but it's honestly impossible to get a ufotest even remotely close to what I see with my current equipment in unstrobed scenarios.

The unstrobed ufotest I made is already far from what I can see with my eyes.

I'm using an OP8T, maybe I have a reflex camera somewhere, if anyone has tips to get better ufotests please let me know because I tried recording at 300 and 360hz 1920 and 1440pps but the same transitions inside the ufo (like the black bars with red background) look completely different with top and bottom ufo when the transition is the exact same and looks the same IRL.

I know that the Bijian guy uses shades of grey for his ufotests, I was wondering if that's the way to prevent the issue that I'm having and if yes is there any setting (brightness/contrast/gamma) that I should use to get a decent motion pursuit image.

Also 300hz with OD Extreme has quite a lot of overshoot, from my testings with Gsync OD Normal is the best at sub 330hz with Smoothfrog and overshoot starts at sub 200hz with OD Normal.

My only way to tweak VT was with the Nvidia Panel, I got a +100VT bump from 1100 to 1200, nothing drastic but it does slightly reduce crosstalk.
VTs are meant for low refresh rates, or anything bellow max Hz. Modified VTs at 120 or 240 Hz should improve crosstalk. If i'm not mistaken u should be able to do something around VT 1800 at 240 and VT 3700 at 120 Hz.

I agree, VTs at lower refresh rates are the main benefit but pushing a monitor to the theoretical best latency/crosstalk scenario at the maximum refresh rate is not going to be detrimental.

Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble, what am i supposed to do in this situation?

Iwant to create a new resolution for csgo which is 1280x960 but can't seem to find a way to fix this g.pixelclock, can you guys help me out? thx!

I've been sticking to OD Extreme.
Same. I have no complaints.
It's at 2800~3840 pps that I see the difference between OD Normal and Extreme, OD Extreme effectively eliminates afterimages, the lower the Gamma and Black Boost, the better it improves clarity.

According to tlp you might get lucky by using CRU and:
...deleting all the extension blocks/resolutions and then copying the 390hz timings that the nvidia control panel displays into a DisplayID 1.3 extension block.

Hey, may I ask what OSD settings you are using with VBR Extreme and OD Extreme?

I'm currently using 100 Brightness, 0 Contrast and 10 Black Boost suggested by lizardpeter, but am wondering about what you were talking about with reducing Black Boost and Gamma to improve clarity. Personally the brightness doesn't bother me at all and am just looking for the best motion clarity and smoothness that I can get at 390hz with VBR.

Thank you!

I'm using VRB Extreme OD Extreme.
Brightness 100, Contrast 50 (I didn't test other values to be honest), Black Boost 10, Gamma 2.0, Color Temp Normal, User (stock values), Super Sharpness ON, RGB 48-48-50 (fixes User mode red tint for my unit, I don't use ICC/ICM profiles).

Also disabled Auto Source and DDC/CI because I don't see myself tweaking them.

Actually I could search for hidden values with SoftMCCS if I reenable DDC/CI...
