I saw, I'll take whatever they can give me because I genuinely think this is a really good product that not many people can appreciate because they don't know any better. To this day, I still find friends who don't know they aren't using Gsync when they have a Gsync capable monitor and don't know how good it is until they have to live without it. I show some friends my PG27AQN ULMB 2 and they couldn't believe that it was possible to get better motion clarity than just brute refresh rate, this technology CAN be improved and I think we can come to a middle ground with nvidia and their firmware updates as long as they keep an open line of communication with us.
I think the biggest possible improvement they can make to pulsar are:
1. Make it less strict on frame pacing
2. Allow debugging tools or watermark to know if the FPS we are getting is stable enough and how much margin we have to mess up the frame timing so we can easily debug ourselves what the best Vsync + Gsync + Reflex + RTSS front edge sync/async combination will lead to a better experience.
3. Add a reflex Gsync pulsar aware mode that prioritizes frame stability.
If they at least give us #2 it might help make sense as to why sometimes it looks clear and why it doesn't, I will say after this firmware update, I see hunt showdown now looks much better when panning the camera around (my average fps was above 240 but there were dips below 180 fps which might have introduced the double images from the last firmware).

I’d love to see an “expert” ULMB2 mode where you can use custom refresh rates and have options similar to what the Viewsonic Strobe Utility app provides for fine-tuning.

Agreed. If anything, you could try and configure it in RTSS by setting "Inject NVIDIA Reflex sleep call" to "before frame presentation" or with SpecialK by setting "Trigger Point" to "End-of-frame". Might work or not depending on the game, and also keep in mind this prioritizes stability over latency.

I already tried this when I was testing every combination of syncs and it still doesn't look as good as RTSS front edge sync or async for some games. Not sure why but I think something funky is going on per game basis. I personally still see a double image in the UFO test at 180fps, 120fps and 90fps on the 1.1.6 firmware on my Asus XG27AQNGV, am I really the only one seeing this? It's very obvious too, the issue doesn't seem to be fixed at all on my end. Even 180fps looks way worse with Pulsar on than 360 does with pulsar off, which shouldn't be the case if I understood things correctly? Would also explain why the Asus firmware still says MCM102, which was the 1.1.4 version already. I personally don't see the point in using Pulsar over ULMB2 when the comparison looks that bad for Pulsar. It looks like my Pulsar is simply not turning on until like 240fps what gives?
EDIT : Nevermind this seems to only affect the UFO test, testing in game the improved motion clarity is indeed there. What's up with the different framerates not working on the UFO test though?

Would it be dumb to suggest the following to nvidia?
"Another idea, if we can't get pulse width can we at least get the option to add an offset to how strict the Gsync pulse monitor is for frame pacing? Sometimes Reflex enabled games I can how all the overlays show 120 fps but there might be a slight dip or random dropped frame rate where it would be less jarring to let Gsync pulsar continue pulsing at 120 fps vs trying to compensate heavily for an outlier frame drop. It should use compensation pulses to gradually move the strobing up and down in frequency but only if it's gradual changes in frame rate, otherwise it should ignore the outlier otherwise in some games Gsync pulsar might be trying to engage/disengage constantly in some games where the frame pacing isn't perfect or there's areas where asset streaming causes the frame drop. "
Games I see this in currently is Arknights: endfield, wuthering waves, league of legends to name a few.
