First time forum user here. I am about to buy the Benq XL2420Z from amazon. Just have a couple questions so bare with me:
- Does it have V2 firmware for sure?
- Do I need to buy any special cables to experience the whole 120hz gaming?
- I am kinda new to this, so is their a step by step guide to calibrate and use the BB strobe utility for the monitor?
- Where can I get the best ICC profiles and can I just use one for every game? I just play dota 2, cs:go and maybe wild star soon.
- Do I need to have an nvidia card? Do I leave vsync on?

Never had a 120 hz before so I am kinda excited and want to optimize it to the best it can be. Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the responses!

Amazon should have it for sure. As someone who was also worried about that (I purchased it 3-4 weeks ago, same model) and got one that was manuf. in Feb, while the official website says the V2 came out in March. So I was worried I got screwed just from looking at the box. But after turning it on and following instructions, I found out it was indeed a V2 monitor, even though the manuf. date was a month behind the release. So Amazon should be your safest bet. They let you exchange it in case it isn't regardless.

The monitor also comes with a DVI cabel that supports 144hz as well. Just don't use a cheap HDMI cable you have laying around for ease. If your cable doesn't support it, when you try to change the HZ it won't let you go past 60HZ if it isn't supported.

For ICC profiles I found http://pcmonitors.info/reviews/benq-xl2420z, but only cuz this exact monitor wasn't on tftcentral. If someone has something better feel free to share. I can't help you with the rest :P
