Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

New steam account way less laggy than main account
Hi everyone, I usually test a lot of things to come up with solutions and I came up with this theory that steam cloud saves csgo files and/or monitor a players net activity and potentially affect/ruin his account.
The reason why I posted this subject here is because if you have EMI/dirty electricity issues, your net will be affected as well as overall responsiveness of the pc and thus affecting your steam account regardless if you played in a clean location or not, your gameplay won’t be as smooth as someone who played in a clean location from the start.
I have tested this yesterday when my csgo was laggy beyond belief, bullets and spray are disconnecting, I made a brand new account on the same windows, same pc and my csgo was way way better in terms of hit reg, responsiveness. My mouse was sluggish as before but not as sluggish and good hit reg, csgo responsiveness made the gameplay way more playable and fun.
This is not a placebo, I have over 5k hours in csgo and I know when there is lag and when there is no lag and what level it is at.
Now as I look back, I remember how when I used to make a brand windows partition and play, sometimes I get zero lag for hours and sometimes I get lag immiedately or in much shorter time.
The reason is the steam account that I use.
If I used a steam account that is relatively new and wasn’t played longer in a bad location, the lag comes back but it comes back after 30 minutes-2 hours. If I used a steam account that was played in a bad location for a long time, the lag comes immediately-5 minutes after windows reinstall.
It is true and you can try it out now, making a steam account takes 3 minutes.
Now I am going to summarise csgo lag in 3 types
1- lag from electricity
2-lag from hardware
3-lag from bad internet
4-lag from infected steam account
Some players have all these lags
Some players have 1-2
But you ain’t gona have nothing if you ain’t reading
TO completely fix the lag, you would need a power station (dirty electricity fix), brand new windows reinstall/partition, brand new steam acccount.
You might get away with your main steam account if it wasn’t infected badly but your gameplay won’t be as sharp as a clean steam account. I.e you won’t reach 4K elo.
Link of some people who experienced lag in their main account and not in new/alt . Mind you some of them played in lan with their laggy accounts and they still got it there, even some pro players:

According to what it says the steam loads modules as it's needed, starting from collecting the basic system identifiers to additional anticheat measures that will actively do things as you are playing.
It's not hard to imagine other services doing this similar things (especially the bigger ones like origin and battle.net) in an attempt to keep an eye out for the possibly-cheating players. So aside from all the web videos playing on those launchers, this is another reason to have them off when you aren't actively playing them.
At somepoint I used to have everything steam related set to "below normal", I wonder if that ever did anything to steam's confidence of the likelyhood of me being a cheater.

I presume the serverity of the modules scanning things (either in #2 or #3 method) will increase after vacnet figures your plays are suspicious or if you get enough reports from your peers to be checked out. The document is incomplete and doesn't go in depth about this but I think not playing MM altogether for an extended amount of time could be a solid way of avoiding this account lag. This module seems to be relatively new or was disabled for a long time. ... It has an ability to perform many different types of scans (currently 3). Further scans depends on the results of previous ones.

Re: New steam account way less laggy than main account
I can confirm that, i was in a few Countrys and last one was Bosnia/Croatia. In Bosnia i played with my Main Steam Account and imagine - after 1-2h of play, it was infected (best computer Club - where a lot of 4k Elo players play) it was very shitty. I thought maybe irs me causing this shit - next day i went there again and played with the Acc of Pc Club - it was so much smoother and also after 2h i hitted flickshots and everything seemed fine. Not perfect but 90% better then my Main Acc.
This shit is incredible - with 5G Router my Game was also smoother at my House (with Main Acc) but it didnt hold for a long time.
I cant believe how many things can trigger this shit. Best is you sell all your hardware also your phone and chargers everything and move to a new location (never use any old email adress)

Yeah at some point that was my theory too but it happens in RIOT and Battle net client as well. I can't say for 100% but something changes with my mouse movement when Steam starts just after restart. I get like 0.1s freeze and it becomes sluggish. Check by yourself.
I would say it has something to do with the sound. Perhaps proximity of chips and circuits responsible for sound and interference coming from PSU?

Looking into this topic gets you new found respect for VAC and Gaben & Co. even though I can't link it here. Unless the system already has flagged you to be a likely cheater for your previous transgressions (as in what you are suggesting to get around this issue is dangerously close to ban evasion methods and should not be necessary), you not giving them a reason to flag you for possible cheating by avoiding MM completely from now on will be enough to weed out steam account reasons. No MM game means no demos to be analyzed by AI, no reports from angry people to trigger anything.

Re: New steam account way less laggy than main account
I would entertain this theory for my issue but it happened to new account for me too also on other clients like origin and riot.
But man it is always the same, first few minutes no issues with anything and everything looks clear even off game or in menu. Text and everything looks more clean and clear. Then everything starts to become worse like mouse movement, graphics textures like shimmering and grainy and blurry. Missing hit reg and getting killed instantly. Also gets fixed for few seconds when I'm not in game and doing something else and then go back to the game window.
Someone please make a sense of this! I have tried everything at this point and nothing has fixed!

The issue presented and solution offered for this particular lag in this post does not concern most users.MontyTheAverage wrote: ↑25 Jul 2022, 15:42I would entertain this theory for my issue but it happened to new account for me too also on other clients like origin and riot.

For NORMAL PLAYERS that are affected by this, it should go away by itself and you will just chuck it off as one off's.
This part isn't a theory. I just can't link anything besides that incomplete github page because the people who are most interested in how vac works happens to be cheat creators congregating in well, cheating communities, but it's not hard to find using google.
I don't know why this post is in the EMI forum. And I don't know why you would be trying to pile on your issue onto this thread when you've clearly identified that your lag is something beyond that of a specific game.
