I really don't know, why nobody spoke about this. Imo, this is a big deal! People don't need to spend hundreds of euros to get a Reflex Anaylzer Monitor or a Cam with 1000fps. This tool is like a dream come true, because I just wanted to know how much delay my system ROUGHLY has, without investing into expensive tools.
Great job nvidia!
I played with FrameView a little bit. First of, this only works dor one game I have (Warzone). I tested a bunch of stuff, to confirm what it's capable of doing. I found out really interesting things.
1. Tested Nvidia Reflex on vs off (gpu bound scenario):
On: -10ms lag
Off: +10ms lag
Yea, I guess this is kinda easy to Analyse for this tool.
Now we get to the interesting stuff! This tool is capable of measuring many types of tweaks that you can apply to your System! Including any type of Game settings etc.
2. I tested Borderless Mode vs Fullscreen Mode.
Borderless Mode: +7ms lag
Fulscreen Mode: -7ms lag
3. 60 FPS on 60HZ vs 60FPS on 120HZ:
120hz: -4ms lag
60hz: +4ms lag
The tool even reconizes that my Monitor set to 120HZ has faster Scan out time/processing time then on 60HZ! Idk how this is even possible, because as stated in the FrameView description, frameview can't analyze Monitor lag/Mouse lag. But let's go on...
4. CPU Spectrum ON vs OFF (Bios setting)
Basically, this setting ensures that the CPU isn't causing alot EMI (electro magnetic interference) which can cause Input Lag. (Not in all cases)
Spectrum On: more consistent Avg/Min/Max system Latency
Spectrum Off: less consistent Avg/Min/Max system Latency. MORE Latency spikes!
I will definitely test some more settings and bunch of stuff, just for fun. Over all, this tool blown me away, by what it's capable of doing.
