XL2411z / XL2420z motion blur in titanfall

maybe a bit niche but just wondering if anyone else has this game and a z series monitor.

I have a XL2411z that is upgraded to version 2 firmware. When playing titanfall at 144hz with persistence setting as low as possible I am still getting considerable motion artefact. It looks like side by side image trails. I have tried 60hz, 120hz, vsync on or off but can't get a clear picture. It is a fast paced game and wonder if my expectations are too high.

None gaming tests such as the ufo test etc you can clearly see the improvement from my old dell u2410 but I have to say I am a little dissapointed.

Having gone to the trouble of getting the ISP upgrader MSTAR from China to the UK and forking out a considerable amount of cash.

note. recent titanfall patch locked frame rate so one can only achieve over 60fps with vsync enabled.

if i get any response i will try and capture and post some evidence of what the problem looks like

Titanfall should go 120 hz or higher with double buffered vsync i think? Im surprised the FPS was stable at 120 with same settings it used to be at 60.

I think youll notice more of a change if you were to go back to 60 hz then actual difference going up.

I think also my bro with the same screen as me doing UFO test had much clearer picture why? unexplained, all we do know for sure if that his pc is far more powerful.

Offtopic but might shed light.

I had to change color scheme to normal and turned AMA of.
I have a XL2720T.
With AMA on and Gamer color it was blurry.

great, thanks guys.
fps wise i had to lower a lot of the graphics settings to get a fairly stable fps. however when testing motion i just stay still and use the mouse to pan left and right. even slow movement produces blur.

will try with ama off.

what color scheme are you referring to?

thanks

To properly eliminate motion blur, you need to have framerates matching refreshrate.
60fps at 120Hz will still show unclear motion not as good as 120fps at 120Hz.

First, verify GPU motion blur effects are turned off. That interferes with blur reduction such as LightBoost.

Next, for maximum motion quality (if that is more important than input lag) lower refresh rate to match Hz, and then turn VSYNC ON, double buffered. Also, use the highest mouse poll rate your mouse reliably supports, preferably 1000Hz where possible. 60fps@60Hz may flicker a lot, however, when using BENQ Blur Reduction, but would have zero motion blur.
