On non native resolutions, acer 390hz is a beast.
it can deliver anything you want..
best way to look at it is like this..
depending on your system you can adjust resolution and hz..
example1
you are cpu bottlenecked, go for higher resolution
3840x2160 140hz 120hz 100hz(choose hz matching your max fps)
3840x1440 230hz 220 210 etc (max hz=max fps)
3840x1200 240hz 230 220 etc (max hz=max fps)
2560x2160 185hz 180hz 175hz(max hz=max fps)
2560x1440 300hz 280hz 260hz(max hz=max fps
example2
gpu bottlenecked,go for lower resolutions
actually native 1080p is still cpu bound
so stay native or go bellow
960x540 400hz
480x270 400hz
or first person shooters popular like
1024x768,800x600 400hz etc..
So as you can c,pretty much beast..
so here comes the actual question..
every single resolution is ok especialy lower 1s
on higher 1s there is an issue, bcs every single resolution
that i just described works flawlessly without Freesync Premium
as soon as i turn freesync premium on,bugginess acure
like image retention is stronk in this 1
sometimes it will just freeze like you can not even enter the menu etc..
so is it bcs max pixel clock?
or is it hard coded parametars and works only bettwen those?
or wat it is it?
4k res will work flawlessly other not so much..
