Gsync flickering monitor problems or gpu?

Hi, so I get these weird fluctuations / instant big drops in hz/fps for example loading screens in games or just like hovering over the operators in warzone 2 or even when just switching around in the different menus a big drop like it froze/lag for a millisec.

Also I noticed after I played I went into the windows secure panel and it started dropping hz aswell and also on my motu app.

Its hard to see ill link some videos but theres a hz counter u can see. and one of the videos (think its the 3rd) it didnt drop any HZ when i was moving around my windows but it flickers for like 2 sec moving them around and then they go smooth? :S

Also my epicgames app window just went black yesterday, the pic in link.

Is there something wrong with my screen or gpu?

With some games, this is normal since they stall their rendering when switching menus or during loading screens. You can mitigate it somewhat by forcing vsync OFF. Setting an FPS cap is extra important here. The lower the better. For example on 144Hz, I set a 120FPS cap, not 141.

Also, it appears the problem is worse with some monitors and not so much of an issue with others.

What about my epicgames app going black? I get small stutters in fortnite and like a weird teleporty thingy back and forth image.

And the flickering too with the windows in desktop? its normal?

I got a asos pg259qnr and a 4080 graphics card.

Do you have windowed mode g-sync enabled? If yes, does it fix it if you set g-sync for fullscreen only?

You should verify whether it is MPO-related first (I.E. may not be due to G-SYNC mode):
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10730&p=87335&hilit=mpo#p87330

Also, NVCP > Set up G-SYNC > "Enable for windowed and full screen mode" may cause issues in some desktop apps, which is why it is suggested to use "Enable for full screen mode" globally instead, and then apply G-SYNC windowed mode per app as needed in a program like Nvidia Inspector. Thank u! I think its solved. I did that regedit thing, enabled for full screen only and set scaling to fullscreen and selected gpu unit. I havent gotten any hz flicker in desktop apps so far.

I do however get some microstutter in fortnite and I dont know if its gamerelated but sometimes I get this weird teleporty stuff like it jumps to a frame then back and or if its like a big stutter when Im in a build fight like its stop and skips some frame so he teleports.

I got gsync with vsync on, capped at 360 fps, I tried cap it at 240fps but not alot difference.

gamebarpresencewriter renamed (deactivated)

Threaded optimization off, Triple buffering on.

Anything else I can do to reduce stutter?

G-SYNC won't reduce or prevent system-side stutter, it will only prevent tearing artifacts for framerates within the refresh rate without adding any of its own latency or stutter in the process.

Sounds more like ping/netcode-related stutter to me.

Triple buffering should never be enabled for G-SYNC, which natively runs off a double buffer.

In Fortnite? Probably not consistently, no. It's a game known for stutter, and its open-world asset streaming and netcode implementation don't help. Frametime performance can vary wildly from session-to-session in that game.
