Can you resize 27 inch display to 24 inch while keeping the same pixel density?

Can you resize 27 inch display to 24 inch while keeping the same pixel density?

Post by Stephennb » 12 Jan 2023, 04:16

I'm planning on buying the LG 27GR95QE 240Hz 27inch Oled but I want to play at 24 or 25 inches for competitive esports titles

Is there anyway to resize the 27 inch display to 24 like the asus PG27AQN without adding input lag and keeping the same pixel density?

Yes. Set a lower resolution (perhaps a custom one,) and in the GPU scaling options disable scaling so that the image appears centered on the screen.

For a 24.5" image, you can use 2304x1296 (I chose a res with both dimensions divisible by 8, which I think is recommended for some reason.)

Only thing to consider, it being an OLED display, is you could risk long term image retention doing this (unlike with LCD). Otherwise, what @RealNC suggested will work.
