i recently noticed that my xl2546k doesnt like gsync anymore.
Whenever i run gsync it shows these artefacts (see video).
Settings are:
gsync on
vsync on
low latency mode on ultra

I know it worked before but i cant get it to work. Already reinstalled a fresh windows, tried different drivers (removed old driver with DDU before). Resetted monitor settings. Even on another PC it shows the same behavior.
Iam afraid that the gsync module of the monitor might be broken.

Assuming it doesn't occur with G-SYNC off (which would potentially indicate a GPU issue), it indeed looks like an internal panel component has probably failed. How old is the monitor and is it under warranty?

Everything okay with gsync off
My invoice is from April 2021. So yeah there is still waranty

I'd contact BenQ support then, and show them the same video to get their input, looks faulty. If it's not, they'll probably know better than anyone here.

I have same on my xl2540k, it happens when fps lower than 60 or have big spikes, but if fps normal and constant everything good

You have the multi-color vertical line pattern on the right side of the screen along with the flicker like the OP does, or just the flicker?

Because while the brightness flicker itself may be normal to a certain extent on some monitor models during VRR operation with very low frame/refresh rates, that pattern is not (assuming it's actually appearing like that for the OP in-person).

I should have checked the model number earlier. I just assumed it was native G-SYNC because the OP mentioned it had a module.

The XL2546K is not officially G-SYNC Compatible, nor does it have a G-SYNC module. It's a FreeSync-capable display (aka software-level VRR only) with unofficial G-SYNC Compatible support when DyAc is disabled and Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync Premium is enabled in the monitor OSD:

As such, a lack of visual glitches, such as screen flicker and blanking during VRR operation are not guaranteed, and some behavior can indeed be dependent on GPU driver versions, and/or whether your using an AMD or Nvidia GPU.

From what both of your videos are showing, it looks like LFC is either kicking in too late, or not at all whenever the framerate plummets (including any momentary frametime spikes), causing the display to flicker and/or blank whenever it drops out of the VRR range at the low end.

The only thing I can suggest is to use CRU to try and manually raise the minimum LFC range to better avoid the issue, assuming this model supports LFC at all (according to the RTINGs review, it seems to: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/ ... ie-xl2546k).

FreeSync LFC in NVIDIA drivers is not as good as FreeSync LFC in AMD drivers.

In quality of LFC style algorithms it usually goes from:

NVIDIA G-SYNC Native's "LFC" (best)
AMD FreeSync LFC (middling)
NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible's "LFC" (worst)

It is not a hard-and-fast rule. In Native, it's monitor-side LFC automatically occuring, while in FreeSync, LFC is software initiated in the drivers.
