BenQ xl2411z questions :)

Post by urut » 08 Aug 2014, 13:18

Hi. I've got benq xl2411z. I got a couple of question to you guys :D

1. I playing fps games (coutner strike global offensive) and what's the best options in benq settings to get the most advantage ? The best quality and smooth etc? How to see people "faster".

Best ama setting? Insant mode off/on? etc ? :) Can you help me?

2. What is better, 144hz or 120hz with VT1350 trick?
and if 120hz with vt1350 is better than 144hz, now vt1350 is better or vt1502? ;p

And when i using 1502vt trick @ 1920x1080 and playing game with 800x600 its still working or i must create custom resolution 800x600 with 1502vt? Cause when i create 800x600 with 1502vt trick i've got full of artifacts :p

And when i use vt1502 trick at 1024x768 it works, i've got that what i need, full smooth nice quality etc. But i've got message "Incorrect cable, please use dvi dual link" but monitor still works (but i can't go to menu :p) i use dvi dual link ofc ;D
Waiting for response. :)

And when i opened service menu i've got this http://prntscr.com/44pa7e

but without a "Strobe duty", "Strobe phase" and "Single strobe" options.

Need help :p.

You cant use the V1350 or 1502 tweaks at 144 hz.
Keep instant mode on always.

Remove the CRU standard resolutions to remove the cable errors. same errors happen at the same resolutions (if entered in CRU) on the VG248QE, too.
Remove the established resolutions to get rid of the 50 hz bug, where the monitor can power cycle (or have the backlight damaged) by trying to strobe at 50hz and failing (causing excessive backlight;seems to only happen on AMD cards with certain timings), and to prevent games from using 50 hz. (you can add a 60hz into detailed resolutions if you want 60hz).

Hmm. To remove cable errors i must download cru (cumtom resolution utility) and remove 1024x768 120hz standard, and create with 1502vt and i haven't got cable error?

The monitor is 1920x1080 native.
There is no need to create a 1024x768 resolution. It will use the 1920x1080 and VT timings already.
Just use it in the Nvidia control panel.
it will be 1920x1080 downsampled to 1024x768.

The ONLY reason to create a lower resolution in CRU is to make the monitor "think" (to windows) that that resolution is a standard resolution; that lets you then use the monitor scaling features to set aspect ratios, etc.

So when i create in nvidia control panel only 1920x1080 with that 1502 vt timing, and i use it in desktop, and i launch game where i used 1024x768 in this game this trick will be works?

If you use GPU scaling, then it should likely work provided you use the same refresh rate as the VT1502 timings you just created.

Oh, i use display scaling :o. So when i turn on gpu scaling and i must or not tick "Ovveride the scaling mode set by games or programs?"

And when i use 1350 or 1502vt trick on native resolution 1920x1080 i've got in information in monitor 1920x1080 @60hz (its bugged osd yes? this work?) But in game i haven't got this bug, i got still 1024x768 @120hz :(

Tick "Override the scaling mode set by games or programs"
