Which monitor to get and build a pc around it
Posted: 12 May 2023, 10:09
Hi,
Sadly in the past few months I had some issues and I needed to sell monitor/pc and get some fast cash :<
Anyway. in the past I tried many monitors. I feel like TN are great. even that the colors are bad I find them easy on my eyes and very good for my needs. I do liked IPS and have some but I found out they not were my best for comp gaming. but they did well for media/AAA games..
Sadly in my country not everything is available and after doing plenty of research I need to buy something budget friendly (unless im going all in) and build my pc around it.
Im gonna list some models and prices and would like your advice for PC that will mostly be for ranked Apex legends, Diablo 4, and basic browsing.
Few words on BenQ - I dont feel like Dyac is needed for apex. correct me if I'm wrong.. anyway I love BenQ as I feel they are super reliable in terms of QC issues, DOA, and such. and their monitors hold up for years!
1.XL2546K/XL25466K - I always wanted to try Dyac+ but never did. not sure if it's needed for me. price= 650$
2.XL2740- I also think about getting this one for it's 27' size (I tried 1080p 27 in the past) and upscale games for 1440p if I want higher res - price is around 600$ even less
3.Omen X25- I Had this monitor in the past when I started trying new ones I sold it. I believe this one was the best TN I tried and played with on Apex. Price= 300$ (I believe last units left in my country)
4.Dell s2522hg - IPS so not so sure it will be optimal for Apex. I always wanted to try this one but kinda afraid how reliable this product in terms of bad pixels/ bleeding and also how it performs - price =277$
5.Alienware 27 AW2720HFA - price - 400$ - not sure as it's an old model. but i can get a discount on it locally.
more models available from Alienware are - AW2521HFLA/AW2521HFL
6.XG27AQMR 300HZ IPS. available from new egg for 1000$ with taxes/delivery to my country - probably an endgame monitor that will require me to go all in with the new PC. and a safe zone for years. I can do that. but do I need it? is it worth the hefty price tag? (as I'm importing it to my country)
7. AOC/AGON/GIGABYTE models that also available - AOC 24G2ZE 23.8, Gigabyte AORUS FI25F, AG251FZ/AG251FZ2E
8.ASUS VG259QM/VG279QM - Import from amazon. so high price. another issue is that I read somewhere that asus ship them with inferior panels and it's a gamble?
sorry for the long post.
I will just add the OLED are out of the question (mostly because of prices)
Please share your input : )
