hello guys hope you can be of some help to me here;
do you need to be at 144fps for v sync to work on 144hz or is it ok for the fps to be locked at 60 fps
will v sync still work ?

Vsync always works. FPS or Hz doesn't matter. Of course there's gonna be some jitter if FPS doesn't match Hz, but vsync itself (meaning no tearing) always works.
