BIOS HPET HIDDEN AND INPUT LAG

Could hpet in bios be causing input lag ? is that something people still disable ?
If yes is there a way to disable hpet in bios when it's hidden ?
I'm using the b650 aorus elite ax.

I can share my own experience.
The time where I had perfect mouse feeling, I was using ASrock B85 Pro4 with Windows 10. When I disabled HPET through BIOS, my PC was unusable, everything was laggy and slow - not quite sure why.
*I should add, that I was using this PC for a very long time without formatting. So I have changed and tried a lot things (Registry, Services, BIOS, etc.) so I don't remember which settings were set here.*
With newer mainboards, changing from HPET ON to HPET OFF (through BIOS) didn't seem to change anything for me - at least for mouse input.

It had a positive effect on a few friends that I changed it on, on my old pc it didn't have that much of an impact.
Sadly I cannot test on this one as the option is hidden.
Good feeling comes and goes on my side and I can't really make it consistent.

I think disabling it in Windows and leaving it on in BIOS has been found to give the best results. This is based on reading forum posts of experiences people have shared. My current BIOS does not offer the setting and disabling HPET in Windows 11 has increased performance (AMD 5950x).

HPET is disabled by def in windows, but TSC can use that for correct timer.
anyway, if you want disable HPET in bios, always make sure deletevalue useplatformtick / useplaftformclock.
You can disable bios via GRUB, scewin, mod bios, or like that.
(im post guide on this forum how find hidden settings in bios file and use grub to change settings)

touch some grass, will'ya.
before even considering to grubbing and possibly bricking your board fix the rest of your system. the usual guides will be enough to get you down to +/-5hz. from what i've seen and read you have way bigger problems than HPET.
besides, disabling HPET has ever since been publicly questioned for its effectiveness and is not recommended for AM5 systems according to internal AMD partner research releases.

but where you find HAL is correcting TSC timer?
If that is true we can always disable HPET in bios, because nothing use that, right?

Honestly, no one, in their good mind, never messing with
HPET,
TSC or edit
mouse packets in registry or other deep settings like
DWM priority,
SCEWIN, etc.
Look at ppl on your server (any game).
Do you still believe they know about these tweaks? They only know about mouse settings in windowz cpanel. Maximum of their knowledge is "disable fullscreen optimizations tweak. But they still perfoms well and never complain about the lag. We are small % of ppl, with this "problem"
