How do I reduce screen tearing in Valorant?

I play Valorant on a laptop (i7 9750h + GTX 1660Ti) connected to an external monitor (1080p, 144Hz) with an in-game FPS cap of 150fps. The monitor supports Freesync Premium, but since it's connected to my laptop via HDMI, I can't utilize Freesync or G-SYNC. Therefore, the G-SYNC 101: Optimal G-SYNC Settings guide isn't helpful in my situation. How can I reduce screen tearing without adding additional latency and/or purchasing a USB Type-C to DP connector to make freesync work?

config file location "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VALORANT\Saved\Config\"
sort by date modified open the latest one then open Windows folder if you cannot find it go to the next folder in order till you find it
you should find the config file inside the Windows folder
add this to the config file
"r.FinishCurrentFrame=1"
this should remove the tearing it adds some latency try it if you don't like it just remove it
