Hello All,
After buying my XL2411Z I tried using this guide to help with the ghosting etc:
http://www.blurbusters.com/benq/strobe-utility/
I followed it very well and seems to help alot. But whenever I do the last part "Additional Improvement In Ghosting: “Vertical Total 1350″ and I set that custom resolution with vertical total on 1350 and I apply that custom setting.. for some reason windows and everything says it's on 120Hz but when I check in the monitor's information it says "Current Resolution 1920x1080@60" and I can't get that vertical total to work on 120Hz even tho I have the setting for it.
See screenshots:

Hope someone can help me here and tell me whats wrong.

Re: Forces 60Hz
The monitor is using 60 hz backlight voltages when it is being run out of specificiation, which the VT tweaks cause. Strobemaster's article explained that. You'll also notice that the Aspect settings start acting bizarre when using VT tweaks (grayed settings become ungrayed, and the aspect settings start showing pixel swimming)
switch to 144 hz and 1920x1080 (which can't use VT tweaks) and go to picture advanced, and you will see that all of the aspect timings are grayed out. But when using VT tweaks at 100, 120hz, etc, you will see the aspect settings available again when they shouldn't be. The monitor isn't expecting a vertical total change, so it doesn't lock the aspect ratios etiher.
There may be 'issues' long term with running 60 hz voltages at 120hz (there's no difference in backlight brightness directly), but that stilli remains to be seen.

Thanks for your reply. So what you're saying is.. I can use the custom VT tweak with 1350VT? Even tho the monitor's menu says it's running 60hz, its running on 120? So the monitor just says it wrong I assume?Falkentyne wrote:The monitor is using 60 hz backlight voltages when it is being run out of specificiation, which the VT tweaks cause. I do also notice that the brightness is ALOT higher then normaly with 120hz.. isn't that a problem or?
