Just saw this announced and didn't see it anywhere else about new ASUS monitors in the forums yet.

Wooo doggie that's one hot monitor. I'll have to keep reminding myself that I can't afford the graphics card(s) needed to drive that resolution at that frame rate so I don't break into nervous sweats.

I've posted about it now:

Probably includes strobing (aka LightBoost / ULMB) too!

Hm, interesting. First official above 60 Hz above 1080P LCD monitor. But TN panel, not sure about this one.

Yeah, I am still a huge IPS fan myself. When I see a TN display, I just groan.

What kind of card does it take to push a resolution like this at this refresh rate?

Was super excited until I read "TN panel".
ASUS claims it is a very high-end TN panel, so it will be interesting to see what this means, but I would still prefer VA or IPS.

This display looks pretty enticing!

I love the colors on my Dell U2713HM, but I do all of my online/timing sensitive gaming on my ASUS VG248QE. It looks to be a nice in-between option for those willing to sacrifice color quality.
My only concern is the ability of current single GPUs to keep 100+fps @ 1440p in modern games like BF4 for ULMB. By the time it comes out hopefully the GTX 8xx series will be unveiled.

Well, here's hoping for a new 24" 1080p G-Sync from Asus...
