Hi guys.
Great forum, thanks.
Need your advice on buying new monitor. Not sure what place of forum is correct for this, so posting here.
Moderators please feel free to move this topic wherever you think it should be.

I play Quakelive for long time. From the beginning.
Its 250 FPS game.

Thinking of buying new monitor that will have perfect all around sync for smoothest experience.
Its desirable not to buy new video card if it will fit.

I have:
I7-13700K processor
ASUS TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS D4 motherboard
Kingston FURY BEAST 2x16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16
NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB or NVIDIA GTX 980
Logitech G400 mouse (1000hz polling rate).
Currently I have 120hz Viewsonic, 12 years old. Already replaced there one dead capacitor :)
Connected with dual DVI cable to video card.

I am using 1600x900 resolution (some how resolution affects my latency in game), having 250 fps stable in even most crowded scenes.
Resolution is not important.

Please post your ideas.

I currently play quakelive, I have tried alienware tn 240hz 1080p, ips 170hz 1440p, and I currently have a 360hz 1440p oled and it is with the latter where the game has been better, I hit all the shots and it feels with very little input lag.

Wait for 480hz OLED. CRT is already the best monitor for quake especially combined with the last generation of GPUs to have analog out
