Hi guys
Just got my (2nd) benq from amazon.it (rev.2) --the 1st one had severe backlight bleed and i exchanged it-- and although the panel uniformity is better ...i spend about 15 minutes trying to power it up.
The touch button lighted up but the monitor wouldnt power on.
I had to actually search google and found this video that helped me power it on

Is this something normal and expected? I read in many review about the "problematic" touch buttons but this is frustrating at least.

Do you find it that difficult to use them or is my monitor faulty?

The infrared button can be finicky, so make sure you have objects a little further away from the touch buttons, and add distance to any infrared-emitting sources (sun, incandescent desk lamp, Nintendo Wii bars, etc.)

Do a test:
- Cover up your window
- Turn off all lamps
- Now try to turn on your monitor, see what happens.

If the monitor powers up reliably, then try a process of elimination to find your problem source that's interfering.

I had the 24 inch version for a week or so before getting the 27 home. First thing I noticed was the power button WAS a bit more picky about how you touch it.

Use the bottom pad of your thumb. Similar to when you give a fingerprint. Not necessary to do the roll left and right technique. I put my four fingers behind the monitor so it wont rock a bit and just press with my pad. After trying it out a few times you will get exactly how to do it 100%.
