This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Breaker panel issues today!
Today I lost power for about an hour due to a downed power line. After regaining power my AC's thermostat/smart meter wasn't getting any power. Turns out since regaining power there's a switch in my breaker panel that when turned on causes the switch that powers my thermostat to trip. It only started doing since regaining power. When I tried turning on the problematic switch, not only does it trip the thermostat's switch, but there's an audible "pop" and some sparks are visible coming from the panel! It's also weird because the switch is labeled as being for a specific room but it isn't actually for that room and I can't figure out what it goes to. It seemingly doesn't power anything inside or outside the house. For now I have left the switch off until an electrician can look at it. I'm still experiencing severe in-game issues (stuttering and desync) with it off. I'm really hoping whatever has caused this problem, once resolved, fixes my in-game issues.
