Steam OS for PC
Posted: 15 Sep 2024, 02:35
Many people have mouse problems and inconsistent input due to unstable operation of the Windows operating system. As you know, any action in Windows (for example, disabling devices in the task manager, changing the power plan) makes the mouse feel different.
Windows has many problems.
But have any of you tried to install Valve's system, Steam OS, on your PC?
For example, it is used on Steam Deck.
SteamOS is an operating system based on Linux. It is based on Debian 8.
As far as I know, it is available for installation on any PC and supports all games from Valve, CS2, Dota 2 and others.
My goal is to install this operating system and compare it with Windows in terms of mouse responsiveness, input lag and other things.
Unfortunately, I am not at home now and do not have access to my PC.
If someone finds this interesting, they could install Steam OS themselves and share their results.
