Hello, I just wanted to share my experience with firmware re-flash and the positive effects.
Flashed both eth controller and vbios on my gpu and I solved all of my issues.

I've been testing numerous tweaks for 12months now without a big success,
but today I've read a comment about dpc latency caused by improper drivers/controllers of nics and/or storage.

I went to bios and disabled on board lan controller and booted cs2 offline map.
The aim was flawless, inputs were pixel perfect and everything so smooth.

So I am here seeking help on how to have same performance but with internet access...

My specs:
Win11 23h2 AtlasV0.4
Z690-E strix motherboard
Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V
V2.1.3.3 driver version
default settings in advanced controller settings

I've tried a realtek 2.5gbps pcie nic but input lag was still there

cable is a issue, not nic.
try wi-fi (disconnect rj45 from pc)

I don't see why using wifi should be any beneficial compared to using lan cable.

Most lan cables are shielded, you have less internet latency, less interference of 2.4ghz/5ghz of the wifi frequencies...

Why would it help?

I tried wifi and the result was half-way there, got back to lan option as I have wireless mice and home automations and on both I really don't want to have interference.
I kept reading online about my issue with the eth controller and found a firmware update on msi forum with detailed instructions on how to update the NVM.
Seems really good so far, but still have to test in depth.

Sftp cables can sometimes cause more issues, try a cat6 cable. Also this intel NIC is well known as a bugged nic since it has msi mode enabled by default so try to disable that, many people reported that solved their issue however my internet wouldn't work with it disabled when I had this nic in the past. The realtek nics are heavily dependent on drivers from what I've noticed.

Edited original post as I flashed the vbios on my 3080ti and solved 100% of my issues this time.

Mine solution is quite case-specific as I had black screen after EVGA vbios thru PX1 update, no harm in trying tho, but make sure the vbios is the same as your old one (you can flash other vendor vbios but beware of the limits, like you cannot flash a galaxy hof 1000W power limit on a palit as it will explode probably).

1) Dump your current vbios thru GPU-Z by clicking to the arrow button after the bios number.
2) Search up your same vbios or an update of it on TechPowerUp library - here's the link of evga 3080ti based on your gpu model and vendor or navigate thru GPU-Z
3) Download NVFlash and extract in a folder with an easy patch
4) Disable your gpu from device manager

For the rest I'd advice to watch this video as he explains what to do in case of incompatible vbios and artifacts.

I actually flashed the same vbios over again but downloaded from the techpowerup library instead of my dump.
Version 94.02.71.80.86
