How can bfi work on a 60 hz lcd

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

How can bfi work on a 60 hz lcd

Ive got a sony tv that has never bothered me with motion blur. It has something called led motion mode. Which is sonys bfi. I tried many of the ufo tests with and without. And sure enough it does reduce motion blur. However it does dim the display a lot.

Many 60Hz TVs had internal 120Hz for BFI. They don't accept a 120Hz signal, but they do update at 120Hz to do BFI.

This is the sub-refresh rate via hardware bfi that mark was talking about.
