Strange behavior relating to Network Adapter & Interrupts

My mouse was feeling a tad bit slow, especially for the 800 dpi setting while using raw input in games like Counter-Strike Source. After exhausting all other known tweaks from Nvidia control panel to win32priorityseparation I think I have found the hidden culprit, at least in some part.

Going into the network adapter settings on windows 11 and tweaking the advanced settings yielded some weird results that oddly IMPROVED my performance in game! I tested it through several restarts and the feeling began to dwindle, which was even weirder!

I tested disabling my ethernet driver, and using my wifi drivers vice versa with the same measurable results that would disappear in time. Then I decided to tweak the interrupt settings through 'GoInterruptPolicy' which gave me instantaneous results that improved my mouse response and in-game responsiveness excessively! This results did not diminish through restarting the PC but it seems like it requires a particular sequence of tweaking the interrupts and device priorities in order to get right.

I am unable to disable MSI mode on my wifi driver but on the ethernet driver, disabling MSI mode improves my mouse response drastically but I can't say the same for my hitreg at this moment as the results for such are spotty at best.

Now I am at a dead-end, I want to dig deeper and see what the exact cause of this would be and why it relates to my network adapter. And yes, I have updated my drivers and rolled back my drivers countless times with no difference.

note: i am now only tweaking with network adapter settings/cmd settings for netsh. I'm trying to keep a steady line of what works and doesn't specifically with these types of settings so I don't have too many differing tweaks.

it seems that implementing some age-old netsh commands for disabling offloading and other such regulatory network behaviors my games have better frametimes. It has stuck through several restarts.

So can you share some of your findings or you just gonna tease them here :D

I've been strictly adhering to switching up the network adapter settings for now. But what I've found is, for me at least, some of the netsh int tcp settings negate input lag/frame timing issues. My games, while not having an increase in fps, are much smoother than they were and my mouse control is significantly better.

Changing the advanced settings in the network adapter menu itself DOES create a noticeable difference in both input and hitreg but the effect is lost after awhile.

Post the actual tweaks so other ppl can test and confirm/deny it. +your specs.

This just end:

Uninstalling both the default wifi and ethernet adapters seems to have remedied my issue a TON for the moment!

Testing for yourselves:

1. Go-to Device Manager
2. Under Network Adapters
3. Uninstall Wi-Fi AND Ethernet Adapter
4. Use your phone or other third-party device to connect to your Wi-Fi or utilize a hotspot
5. profit?

Testing is still on-going.

-Auto tuning values worked way better for ingame responsiveness on both normal and disabled but my results quickly diminished
-Nothing else besides the netsh commands or advanced adapter settings seem to be working

I'm currently testing to see how MTU could be involved in this. NONE of the MTU sizes that I test are able to pass the ping test, that could have something to do with it. Help would be appreciated.
