Now that we know 100% it is the body causing issues, has anyone tried all wireless peripherals, headset, keyboard and mouse?
Please stop trying windows tweaks and bios tweaks. After trying for years with no results, it is time to accept that it is the body, otherwise every pc you use would not start to experience issues. Now is when you should be trying creative ways to fix it, rather than the same old endless tweaks.
So has anyone tried all wireless peripherals? And how did it go for you.

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: All wireless peripherals
I really don't get how some people claim they don't feel any effect from optimizations. Going from garbage C-states, power saving, virtualization, and all the Windows bloat, you have to move the mouse like some kind of golem to not feel the difference. Which is apparently true for a lot of people. But anyways to answer this well thought out post I'm going to once again advocate for anything that just makes sense because wired peripherals are always going to be better. I use a wireless mouse now and with my speed of gameplay that latency hit is worth it for the added freedom.
Also I like the take that "we know 100%". I'm a very anxious person and guess what, I had many days when everything was perfect and I didn't feel a single percent calmer. Yesterday the same happened and there was no explanation for it. I never stopped just because I had ungodly magnetic feeling input or bad interenet connection so I had many occasions to test when the change kicks in, yet there wasn't anything to tie it to.
The experiences I have now are these: the lag gets better whenever a setting gets tested on a device for the first time. This is true for everything, computers, phones, consoles.
There are lucky days when every device starts working properly and the lag slowly creeps back on.
So my current opinion is that something is generally wrong out in the world that affects electronics like that. Maybe networks and new electronics are overcomplicated in ways that cause this but there really is no telling. What I can tell is that things used to be simpler but also a lot better. And this isn't any kind of boomer posting because every single aspect of life got more cluttered for the sake of improvement, just look at the operating systems and browsers you are using.

Re: All wireless peripherals
I agree with this guy. There is no point in talking about specific hardware or tweaks. They might work.. for a few hours.. or days. What we should be getting at is why do games run so much better after trying out something new. Even when you simply unplug your pc for a while, games run so much better for some time.Hyote wrote: β22 Oct 2024, 22:44I really don't get how some people claim they don't feel any effect from optimizations. The common variable seems to be introducing electricity to a device after it being unplugged. But changing settings and getting the same result doesn't go into that category. And I've seen the change to better happen midgame when unplugging the monitor for a sec or even by changing the volume, so it's def. not placebo.
I've found so many things that used to work for a better game and then suddenly they didn't anymore or their effect faded away.
So, if I bought a new keyboard and had a godlike gaming experience, I wouldn't come here to tell everyone to buy the same kb. I know it's "the new thing" experience that goes away. This happened just recently btw
If anyone has had "the right" game experience for months or years, I'd say it's pure luck.. because I also used to have it on the exact same setup that I now have.
