FPS cap using Ultra-Low Latency w/ G-Sync and V-Sync

Hi,
Ever since reading the Blur Busters article on the benefits of using both G-Sync and V-Sync together, I have been a happy camper enjoying ultra smooth visuals.
Generally, I set "Ultra-Low Latency" mode in the nvidia control panel to "Ultra", out of habit, which when using G-Sync and V-Sync translated to a driver-side framerate cap of 224fps on my 240hz monitor.
Sometime recently, maybe after a GPU driver update, I've noticed that this is no longer the case. The framerate cap now coincides with monitor refresh rate as would be the case before when Nvidia's ULL mode was not set to 'Ultra'.
I'm wondering if this is an intended upgrade on nvidia's side or if something is not working as intended?
