Hi, i have the acer 390hz rn, but i dont find the motion blur reduction that good or maybe its the ghosting but i dont feel like it suits me well.
Im looking to buy either a zowie 360hz, OLED 360hz or max budget i can get the 540hz from asus.
I mainly play valorant (imm3) sometimes other fps like fortnite/overwatch.
Ive seen people say OLED is better but when looking at ufo tests, tn panels still seem to be a lot better for motion blur.
Therefore, im looking for advice.

I'd get the 540Hz from Asus.
I've tried the 480Hz OLED from Asus '(PG27AQDP), and went back to 540Hz from Asus after a week.
In an FPS game where you need to be both fast and precise, i.e. aiming accurately on fast moving enemies, the 540Hz TN was way superior to the 480Hz OLED, which must be thanks to motion blur reduction (ULMB2 in this case).
See my post here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12946&p=109400#p109400 where I describe my experience with the PG27AQDP as imagining the position of the enemy to shoot it, as opposed to actually shooting on what I see.

The only issue I see is that for now ive the 5800x3d so i can only hold 360fps in worst scenarios. Should i wait for when i upgrade to 9800x3d or does ulmb2 still does well when fps is dropping towards 360?

I also play PUBG (rather casually) where FPS generally is low, between 200-400 and in most situations around 230-250. It is a CPU intensive game (bottleneck from CPU).

> When I switched from XL2566K (360 Hz TN) to PG248QP (540 Hz TN) I still noticed the increased smoothness (although not night and day difference).

> Also once, accidentally my PG248QP switched to 240 Hz by itself, which I was not aware of; I played PUBG and told myself "what is this lag, have they just made an update again that made everything laggy?" but afterwards I found out the culprit was lowered refresh rate to 240 Hz. I reverted to 540 Hz and all was fine, it was no more laggy.

The takeway is that, even without the matching FPS, higher refresh rate is still beneficial by itself.

And I'm using ULMB2 always, even in PUBG with relatively low FPS. It doesn't seem to me like FPS necessarily has to match Hz for it to work properly.
