Can anybody with xl2546x or any new zowie x monitor test their scalers? We remember k monitors had shitty and blurry display scaling, is it also the case for x monitors? With cru and true display scaling

If you're on Nvidia with 20 series or later, just use GPU scaling. It's quite decent (it's 5-tap either bicubic or lanczos, doesn't matter which one it is, since both are good.)

xl2546s displayscaling is perfect.
xl2566k / xl2546k / X - broken.
but better use cru (native preset) + display scaling anyway.

can i ask how its broken? i just picked up a xl2546x+. i saw in the website "resolution preset list" file, that it has specified detailed timings for 1024x768 280hz, 1280x960 280hz, 1680x1050 280hz specifically for CS2 to work with display scaling. and when i tried it, it worked (desktop refresh rate was 1920x1080 280hz, ingame was 1024x768 279.996hz or something). also when i use display scaling and launch CS2 or alt tab on these specific resolutions, my game goes black for 2 seconds and actually allows me to adjust the Display Mode scaling settings in the OSD (between full, aspect, and 1:1 scaling) in the OSD when using display scaling. all three settings adjust the image appropriately.
with nvidia GPU scaling, it keeps to the default behavior that we all know of and displays lower resolutions as 1920x1080 280hz and doesnt allow switching of the Display Mode setting in OSD.
i checked the EDID using CRU/MonInfo and there are manually specified detailed timings for those 4:3 stretched style resolutions (1024x768, 1280x960, etc etc) that gamers like to use for CS2 or other competitive games. this leads me to believe that BenQ started supporting display scaling since apparently in the EDID these timings are specified (correct me if im wrong, but i dont think some of the older models had these timings and required GPU scaling). on top of that, i used display scaling for a bit and it works properly but i still like to use GPU. i might switch around and try display again though.
can you explain why its broken or what experience you had? for me it works fine but im just going based off a few hours of gameplay.

yes for firts 2h impressions that is best exp.
how to use that resolution correctly:
open sre.exe and delete all
open cru.exe and delete all resolutions exept 1080 60 360 / 1280x960
in all games you could see only 2 res.

Unfortunately, I don’t have xl2546s to show clearly, but the xl2566k has much worse overall picture clarity with display scaling; this blurriness doesn’t even correct sharpness 10. Although on the xl2546s I used the value 7. The menu has become so poor. The current resolution is not shown and you cannot find out whether display scaling is working or not. I would change this xl2566k to xl2546s if I had the opportunity.

I get the older versions are weird, but i think you misunderstand my question:
i have an XL2546x+, i haven't noticed any problems with display scaling, but you said the XL2546x+ has display scaling issues. are you just assuming that based on the past generations or do you have an xl2546x+ to know? in my experience, display scaling works fine and allows switching aspect modes in games like CS2 and i was just wondering whether you actually have an xl2546x+ version to confirm or if you're just going off past generations and guessing.

Sorry, I really don’t have direct evidence that the new 2546x 2566k panels perform worse than the old panels. I'm only comparing the xl2546s and xl2566k, and comparing these two monitors the 2566 has a much less sharp image. Display Scaling worked perfectly on 2546s and even gave a crt feel at 800x600 in 1.6. I could play csgo at 1024x768 stretched and it was clear and crisp. At 2566k 1280x960 is not even close. Perhaps I got a bad panel in 2566 and a very good one in 2546s, I don’t know.

thanks mate <3 can you link that "resolution preset list? as far as I understand, I shoud enter those timings in cru, for example for 1024x768 for display scaling? so no cvt-rb / exact reduced or whatever
