problem with custom resoltion

hi there i have a Samsung s32f351 monitor and for many years i had it running at 1440p custom res 3 days ago a new NVidia driver was released and also the same day a windows update was released both got installed almost at the same time anyway after installing the driver the screen flickered and an error popped up not optimal setting optimal setting is 1080p at 60 hz so i uninstalled the driver uninstalled the update tried cru 1.5.2 and nothing i can no longer use custom resolution what so over can someone please help with this?

Maybe you were patching the driver before? (Pixel Clock Patcher.) If yes, you need to redo the patch after driver updates.

If not, then you need to figure out the exact CRU timings you were using before. It's best to export your settings in CRU to a file to make sure you don't forget them after driver updates.
