Weirdest Illogical Laggy/MouseInput Feeling
I can't believe it but i have no clue i have this shi**y weird lag. First i thought it was maybe a issue of a wireless mouse. I bought a razer cobra wired to identify the issue. And while testing and banging my head around and trying everything , i got a weird fix for it. Every time when i turn my pc on with my mouse plugged in i experience weird mouse input and laggy , feeling behind type of feel with my mouse. And whenever i plug my into the usb port mouse after my pc gets booted into the windows properly their is no input delay and it feels like a normal mouse perfectly. This has never happened to me before i dont even know whats the issue. Hoping a genius might help me solve this.
I alr know the quick fix is starting pc without my mouse plugged but i wanna know what can be causing this.

Actually I've been playing without input lag for some time and my fix is somehow similar and didn't want to share it because I was not sure if it's a coincidence.
For me it doesn't really matter if you plug your mouse after boot, as long as you don't move it at all for at least one minute after the boot at all. Basically:
1. You press the power button or you restart your PC
2. You don't move the mouse for at least one minute after you see your desktop. Cursor must not appear on the desktop at all.
3. After one-two minutes you can move your mouse
Usually I restart my pc and chill on my phone for few minutes. To make sure that my game runs smoothly, I even don't move the mouse for about a minute after the start of any game and so far it works like a charm.
I've been wondering too why this is happening and my theory is that if you move your mouse after boot while Windows is starting up all drivers, services and tasks something gets messed up or not scheduled properly with the right priority. Also after fresh boot / reboot you will notice that the

I see the drivers could be an issue but i have tried formatting windows and stuff and honestly have no clue.
I'd try that your fix as well and let you know.

That fix of yours doesn't work for me but i do understand this situation is quite tough to assess honestly.
Anyways thanks for replying i highly doubt a genius would come save us

Re: Weirdest Illogical Laggy/MouseInput Feeling
Plugging in the mouse after booting works for me so far but I'm also on a fresh install so that might have an effect as well.
Re: Weirdest Illogical Laggy/MouseInput Feeling
I'm reporting again because it still works and booting with the mouse plugged in is so painful in comparison. It stays consistent even after a few hours and Process IDs that used to be consistent through many Windows installs are given different numbers now and three of them used to go like 600, 608, 708. Always a difference of 8 and 100 and now they don't go by that logic. Still the effect persists and I think you struck gold with this post and I did too.

this needs a bump for sure. Atleast some actual possible reasoning and science

I theorized Process IDs being changed but I could force them back to their original values so the change comes from something else, not the device order directly.

If you have wireless mouse, disconnect the bluetooth usb, enter windows with user, and wait for a bit to connect mouse again?Hyote wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 04:29Hyote wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 01:27I'm reporting again because it still works and booting with the mouse plugged in is so painful in comparison. No, the entire device has to be disconnected.spkii wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 05:08If you have wireless mouse, disconnect the bluetooth usb, enter windows with user, and wait for a bit to connect mouse again?Hyote wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 04:29Hyote wrote: ↑07 Feb 2025, 01:27I'm reporting again because it still works and booting with the mouse plugged in is so painful in comparison.
