G-Sync settings. Doubble and Triple Buffer OFF?

Post by wBoop86 » 07 Feb 2025, 15:22

On the instruction page on how to setup G-Sync. You say turn off Double and Triple Buffer.

But in Path of Exile 2 it says:

Triple-Buffering:

Off = Double-buffering (for best latency)
On = Triple-buffering (for best framerate stability)

So I cant really turn both off. What's the best option here?

I checked, and for that game it just means if the in-game VSYNC is enabled, it will be double-buffer or triple-buffer depending on the setting you mentioned.

In other words:

- in-game V-SYNC "Locked" + Triple Buffering "On" = triple-buffer V-SYNC
- in-game V-SYNC "Locked" + Triple Buffering "Off" = double-buffer V-SYNC
- in-game V-SYNC "Off" + Triple Buffering "On/Off" = in-game V-SYNC setting disabled either way

So when I have V-Sync OFF (ingame) as your article suggests. The Triple-buffering setting does not matter? ON / OFF, same difference?
