S95B OLED TV: enabling VRR makes the image look less sharp?

Hello,
I have a 4070 + S95B OLED TV and I randomly discovered that disabling HDM VRR makes the image look sharper? (using "Allow G-SYNC on monitor not validated as G-SYNC Compatible") Am I imagining things or is this true? (PS: I overclocked to 144 Hz and here without VRR the image also appears to look sharper.)

Does it also happen when you remove the overclock?

It's without the overclock. 120 Hz without VRR appears to look sharper than 120 Hz with VRR (or am I imagining things?) (AFAIK the S95B doesn't support 144 Hz with VRR enabled (doesn't work for me either and I get a highly distorted image.))

Yes, it also looks less sharp with 120 Hz. This is how I discovered it: 144 Hz with VRR is supposedly not possible, so when I went back to 120 Hz, I still had the VRR disabled and I noticed the sharper image, or am I imagining this? PS: Rip my original first, topic-starter, comment.
