Monitor related settings possibly tied to floaty mouse

Post by Hyote » 10 May 2025, 17:56

Monitor: XL2546
I'm making this post because I've been able to reproduce some improvements that seemed crazy and placebo at first. I noticed the desynced feeling completely go away whenever I did my monitor settings in order:
-turn off monitor
-enter service menu by holding down button 3 and 4 counting from the left and the power button
-change OD GAIN to my preferred value
-go to sRGB tab and recheck one value and quit the menu

When a game gets opened or another monitor setting is changed, sRGB won't stick and you'll have to recheck it along with OD GAIN.
I noticed the order of these matter as well, so if I want to my settings to work correctly, I have to apply OD GAIN first, then bring it over to the sRGB tab and quit the service menu from there. The colors change so it's something you can visually perceive and not have in your mind only.

Here are my settings for the lowest input lag on this monitor:
Profile - FPS 1
DyAc - Off
Black eQualizer - 0
Color - as low as possible, mine is on 4
Instant Mode - On
Brightness - 100
Contrast - 50
Sharpness - 5
Gamma - 1
Color Temperature - RGB
AMA - Premium
DDC/CI - Off

I won't recommend sRGB settings as it should be experimented with, but I think lowering the values can get you lower input lag.
