Hi, I'm looking for a definitive and possibly simple answer on how a Viewsonic Elite XG270 monitor would works in my situation. I would use it mainly to play fighting games capped 60fps at 1080p probably with v-sync or whatever sync enabled if mandatory in order to avoid tearing.
Is it possible to use the 240Hz frequency by running the game at 60fps? Would the motion blur decrease or be identical to the 60Hz/60fps combination? Screen tearing? Would the strobing effect be applicable and, if so, with what result? And the input lag?
I'm sorry but I don't understand much about these things, I only know that both motion blur and input lag bother me and that the games I prefer are capped 60 fps so I can only move in that area.

Hello. I played 60fps capped with vsync enabled games/emulators and I don't worry with little input lag on... CRT monitor. I get no any eyestrain despite flickering, sorry. :)

IPS of your XG270 monitor is very good for no crosstalk and high quality of color. This monitor gets 1ms of persistence time despite 60Hz signal. :D
