Hi everyone,
I’m running an ASUS ROG B650E-F Gaming Wi-Fi motherboard with the latest BIOS (3265). When I enable SVM in the BIOS, my high polling rate mice (8000Hz) experience noticeable input delay and lag. Even at 1000Hz polling, the input feels off.
I’ve tried different USB ports, multiple gaming mice (Logitech G Pro Superlight 2 and others), clean Windows 11 install, and disabled IOMMU and fTPM, but nothing fixes the problem.
Disabling SVM fixes the delay immediately, but I need SVM enabled for virtualization and anti-cheat compatibility in games like Valorant.
Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions on how to fix or workaround this would be appreciated!
Thanks!

SVM effectively adds another layer of security between your kernal and your drivers through virtualization. That's why you are experiencing the delay. Since your hardware is not communicating directly with the CPU anymore, it has to go through the virtualization layer first then to the CPU.
Disabling core isolation in windows defender may solve it, because this is that layer of protection. But that could be what your games needing SVM requires to be compatible. I don't know for sure because I have SVM disabled and refuse to play any games that require that level of intrusion to be able to play. Hope this helps.

We have the same MOBO ASUS B650E F and I have disabled SVM on my BIOS. But on Task Manager, it says on my CPU that virtualization is still enabled. Does that mean I still have SVM on? I checked my Valorant and I can launch it. Do I need to play one deathmatch game to check if SVM is still enabled?
