It's going to return to the same state as always. One reason for my assumption is that I have it unplugged anyway.

This fix doesn't work for you, but might work for another person. Have you tried power conditioners? voltage stabilizers? uninterruptible power supplies? Maybe you have a power delivery problem.

No, I won't try anything external when the problem is almost certainly "in the air" somehow. I was done dealing with this issue some time ago by applying all the correct settings I could think of: perfect BIOS, Windows, peripherals. The heavy/floaty mouse issue is likely to be something unchangeable and my personal opinion is that it's not caused by many things for different people.

That's ridiculous, what, you have some sortof malicious atmosphere around you that retards electronics?
Ok then, try temporarily moving your pc somewhere else to certainly root out the problem being "in the air".

I haven't tried my PC in other places but I can definitely feel the same problem being present on others' computers, laptops and even in gaming cafes.
The only reason I replied to this thread is because we've gone over this time and time again.
You change something and it lasts for some time. However the problem with the effects you perceive is that they aren't supposed be like that.
Still, after reading all the threads in recent years, there are methods that more or less work but the effects get diminished over time and it feels like going back to square one.
These are:
having as few case fans as possible
not using magnetic PC components
removing glass side
using a wooden chair
putting cables as far from each other as you can
These are okay suggestions as they follow general logic, but just like everything else ranging from Windows and BIOS tweaks, they suddenly make everything feel perfect and then things go back to the way they were. Any change these things made are now much less noticeable.

Many of us have tried what you said, but the input lag will eventually return.

Hmm, you reminded me that several years ago, when I didn’t know much about PCs, I connected the front panel of the case and the LEDs didn’t work—the blue one that lights up when there’s power or the red one that blinks. Maybe I’ll try what you said, I’ve got nothing to lose

A better way to to disable the device in device manager. Disabling a majority of your motherboards unused devices in device manager will help to reduce the overhead on your CPU.
Best way to look at it is by connection. It will show a tree of what devices are connected to what connection point. You can disable a whole tree of devices if nothing is connected to it. Be careful though, some devices you should not disable so ask AI about it before disabling it.
For example, I don't use my built in lan port. So I disabled that.
