Hello everyone , after big 5 year fight with input lag (floaty heavy mouse) i think i give up and blame microsoft for all , the thing that i suspect the most affecting mouse feel is DWM that cant be killed and i think its not possible to fix , last hope is to run CS2 on linux and see if there is still a problem but i am not sure.

The person breaking things down explained several times, if you're in exclusive fullscreen DWM is not a factor in disrupting your latency.

I'm on windows 11, and I solved most if not all of my latency problems and I don't run games in exclusive fullscreen, so DWM is not and hasn't been a factor of my latency issues. I can optimize my latency even more but it's a balance between energy savings vs super low latency (unnecessary power draw).

What I learned after figuring out my latency problems is, it's a combination of every possible thing on a system. And what is a problem for one person may not be a problem for the next. That's why it's such a confusing thing to figure out.
