Moving to a new apartment under construction. Need guidance on how to shield my bedroom properly.

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Moving to a new apartment under construction. Need guidance on how to shield my bedroom properly.

**DISCLAIMER**

I don't believe this problem is caused by EMF/EMI so me doing this is mainly because i want to enjoy my DJ /Audio equipment (to have nice clean audio & remove constant buzzing noise) and the health concerns over EMI/EMF (better safe than sorry) but i figured some knowledgeable users here might help.

I will be moving to a brand new apartment that is under construction and will be finished in less than 4-5 months. I plan on making it at least 80-90% EMF/EMI proof by painting my entire bedroom walls with EMF/EMI shielding paint (will try to make my own paint to save money) also some tips for that?, EMF/EMI shielding curtains or film over the window, canopy over the bed and finally grounding everything. I'm not sure how to go about grounding everything since i don't want outlets to be in my bedroom? Apartment is on the second floor if that helps. I know that not grounding it properly can make it much worse so i want to avoid that. I will also not be having internet in this apartment to avoid WIFI and it would be counter productive to what im trying to do anyways.

What else should i do? I just want to feel like im not being bombarded by EMF/EMI 24/7 and to listen to music without having constant buzzing noise and buying expensive filters and audio equipment for nothing.

First, you need to realize that all your equipment is digital, not analog. Second, buy an expensive motherboard because they have the best galvanic isolation, and you won't get high-frequency noise in your audio system. Third, don't listen to audiophile sectarians.

Emf from your devices will be bouncing inside your room aswell , its best to not shield the room because as distance increase their effect fades

this is a very good idea.
only I want to remind you that you should screen all the walls in the room including the floor and ceiling. all 6 walls. Also, you should understand that your plaster (paint) should be grounded, then it will make sense. It would be interesting to be in this room.

Yea that is a problem. I will still do it and instead move the PC to the living room. I want to try and see if it helps with my sleep and if music sounds better there

What do you mean by screen? Do you mean paint them? If so, yes I plan on painting all the walls in the room. I know that they need to be grounded but how when i won't have outlets in the room?

ok, if there will be no wiring in your room at all (a lamp is also considered as such), then you can not shield the room at all. Do you have an apartment or a house? In fact, you need to shield, since noise can be transmitted to your walls from your neighbor's wiring. As for grounding, you can throw a wire to your paint from the ground outlet, or from the neutral of the outlet.
if you are going to pull the power cable from another room, make it shielded, thus in your room there will be 0mv in any corner of the room, including your PC.

If you can do it , try to get electricty from high voltage line via step down transformer of your own. ( Multiple houses get electricty from 1 large transfomer , you will be seperated from them )
That will make sound quality godlike.
Than acoustic treatment ofc.
And try different gauge speaker cables on same length , some amps like thick some loves thin.
Tin coated cables adds some warmth aswell.
