I recently got a new pc. Everything was working fine until I installed the chipset drivers. After installing them, my mouse became a little choppy and 2-3x faster. If I tried to move my mouse slowly so that I could control my sensitivity, it still maintained the 2-3x faster speed instead of slowing down. I went into the windows apps through settings and uninstalled it, but i think thats just the software and not the actual driver. My mouse became smoother again, but i cant remember if it feels the same as it did before installing the chipset drivers.
Also, after installing the chipset drivers, my cursor looked like an overlay or as if it were like above the screen.
I saw a forum in ASUS website of some people experiencing issues after installing chipset drivers and they each reported having issues with their mouse.
Things to keep in mind:
- I used the same dpi, sensitivity, and polling rate.
- I used the same refresh rate and resolution.
- I tested the same games.
- I didn't change anything that would affect my mouse input.
- Mouse acceleration is disabled in windows.
- all I did was install the chipset drivers.
My specs:
- RTX 5060
- Ryzen 5 7600X
- 32gb ddr5 6000MTs
