2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
If you want your inputlag to be like on the video, read on:
Here are some scoreboards, the main point my skill is always the ceiling not how my hardware behaves:

Seeing the amount of problems people are having with floaty mouse/lag i've decided to share my RIG which literally has ZERO issues. Forget the bulllshit seen on this forum from some schizos that wrong mousepad or less than 1000W PSU will cause inputlag lmao!!! I never have any lag, my mouse is snappy as fuck, the fps is so high and the frametimes are so low and consistent that you feel one with the machine/game. You can kill people like crazy with zero effort. Just copy my build 1:1 and you can start clapping people. As for the desync i am quite sure most of you just have shitty ISP and there is nothing that can be done about that unless you are willing to change your ISP which uses a different hardware endpoints. Anyways if you follow my guide in a creating a lag free PC and you still have problems then you have narrowed down that the ISP is the only problem.
[HARDWARE]
-Asrock b550 Pro4 UEFI ver. 3.40 Realtek RTL8111H eth controller
-5800x3d undervolted using negative offset in bios -30 all cores
-2x8 Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz CL19 (ofc you have to set it to CL14/3600Mhz/1800 infinity fabric, or higher depending on the silicone lottery, my setting are attached)
-I've tested 5070Ti and 9070XT both were amazing.
-Corsair RM850x - ATX 3.1 - PCIe 5.1(keep in mind that the included 12V-2x6 connector is of a horrible quality and it's probably better to buy NZXT C850 Gold ATX 3.1)
-Archer AX53 1.5.4 fw.
-240hz monitor Acer Nitro XV272Xbmiiprx IPS (do not get an OLED if you play vision based shooters like Hunt Showdown, the blacks are so good you will have trouble seeing enemies in dark places)
[PERIPHERIALS]
-get a wireless mouse with either PIXART PAW 3395 or PAW 3950 which is popular and known to cause no problems. I have a MCHOSE G3 Realtek MCU ULTRA 8K receiver(more on pooling later)
-keyboard literally doesn't matter i was clapping people on 10$ office dell keyboard but if you really need to know i use Genesis Thor 404 TKL Kailh Brown)
-mousepad doesn't matter, personal prefference, i used Genesis Carbon and using SMX Speed Mouse Mat L Black which literally was 5$.
[WINDOWS AND SOFTWARE]
-do NOT install stock windows, it's literally one huge pile of spy and bloatware. Install a modded windows which is just barebones. I personally use W11 24h2 Ghost Spectre Superlite SE no Defender and having zero issues. If for some reason you don't wanna use it, do your own research and use something else. Do not use piece of shit stock windows.
-after installing fresh windows DO NOT install anything other than:
1.https://github.com/abbodi1406/vcredist
2.directX web installer update https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... aspx?id=35
3.chipset drivers
4.GPU driver either minimal installation if you plan on gaming only or full install if you want to set recording shadow play/instant replay.
That's it!! Do not install any other bullshit like MSI afterburned which is known to cause stuttering for some people/games. Go install and play the game.
[MISC]
-do not use less than ~1500 DPI. It increases input lag for no reason. https://youtu.be/6AoRfv9W110?t=303
-do not crank up the pooling HZ to 8k barely any game supports that causing stuttering and your CPU usage will spike. Stay on 2K like i do and 4K only on games which you will test to cause no problems. 8K is snake oil and i have not found a single game working well with it.
-You do not have to spend hours in the registry changing god knows what, same goes for UEFI. This forum is filled with false promise clueless schizophrenics sharing the most placebo BS ever with ZERO proof.
-Always limit your fps, preferably to a number which will not leave you in a GPU bound situation, being in a constant GPU bottleneck will introduce additional inputlag #2. Ideally you should aim for stable fps twice as much as your refresh rate #1.

This is my first writeup, probably will modify it a bit later on. If you have some additional questions hit me up on discord "slick_dad" or comment here. Also please do not ask me about AM5 hardware simply because i don't have it yet and i do not know which ones will be lag free.I'll probably aim for a MOBO with Realtek eth controller not an intel one. I'll upgrade once the ryzen 10XXX will come out and let you know. Peace.

Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
It starts off wild with calling Windows spyware and bloatware while using a modified version that brings no improvement to telemetry over open source scripts, and also has zero performance or latency impact over regular Windows.
I remember reading about Fortnite having problems with polling rates above 4 kHz but they fixed it. Otherwise I know about 0 games that have problems with 8k which you should be using anyway.
Like I always mention, there are knowledgeable people in tweaking communities and whether or not some people like it, you can always push the limits with optimization. You can choose to believe anything but having these claims with an overly aggressive tone is completely harmful.

You are the one i consider actually making sense but don't make me laugh saying that this community is not filled with cope sniffing schizosHyote wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025, 11:40It starts off wild with calling Windows spyware and bloatware while using a modified version that brings no improvement to telemetry over open source scripts, and also has zero performance or latency impact over regular Windows.

It 100% brings performance on the base that 90% of the background crap has been turned off. You haven't actually physicly measured latency impact so saying it doesn't bring anything is pure guessing on your side. And i am talking ACTUAL real life advantage measured by some kind of hardware setup, not some BS numbers some random program is gonna put out. All i am saying is what i use and the result is right there in the video. Even if the windows mod i use has just open source scripts then this already saved hours of research for the user and gets him the working package.
Not to mention that on your very own github you wrote "it can be a stock install or a custom one, however I really dislike having a lot of things running in the background in the first place, so I recommend one that is pre-tweaked such as my NTLite builds or Tiny11" so you can recommened installing modded windows but call me out when i do the same? Let's have some integrity here
I never said windows is spyware, i said ms filled stock windows with a bunch of horseshit.
8K pooling causes stuttering unless you own 7800x3d or 9800x3d, i don't use it and i see no reason to use it given my hardware.
Insurgency sandstorm stutters on 4k pooling. All i am saying don't blindly set 8k and then waste a month to find the source of the stutters.
If you have a verified AM5 platform setup then share it for the community, all i did is shared my hardware which 100% works and is good enough for like 99% of the users.

Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
If we're all loonies, then you're a professor. Explain to us why we miss the aim during the day and the sight sticks to the head at night????
Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
I never said everyone is a looney but if you feel called out that's on your buddy. Very easy explanation, i myself play better at night when there are zero distractions around me, has nothing to do with hardware. And like i SAID before if your issues are ISP related this is not a thread for you, it's simply a known lag free hardware list and some tips, that's all. If you already have a broken ass setup i will not invest 10 hours to investigate what you did wrong or which one of ur HW is causing issues.
Also don't hijack the thread with your emotional response.
If you want actual help make your own thread with all the info listed, what you have done already, videos, do some actual WORK if you want somebody to help you.
Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
Hey i watched your video and you have a really good gaming expierence man, thanks for the post. i go look into it in the future when i try to get a new pc
Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
Bear in mind that i purchased my hardware in 2022. It's probably smarter to buy AM5 rn or in the future. But the problem arises do we known a 100% lagfree motherboard with no fuckups? I don't, would be nice if someone posted one here. All i know AssRock are burning up 9800x3d processors...
And glad u enjoyed the lagmovie hehe
Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
I don't disagree with anything you've said here but 0 games that have issues with 8k? Really? Try anything above 1k on cs2 and you'll have a bad time. Not to mention that above 1000hz there is no benefit that is significant, and I disagree that for most people it's nothing but issues and marketing hype running 4-8k polling.Hyote wrote: ↑30 Sep 2025, 11:40It starts off wild with calling Windows spyware and bloatware while using a modified version that brings no improvement to telemetry over open source scripts, and also has zero performance or latency impact over regular Windows.

2000hz however I can get behind, but anything beyond that imo is placebo effect. And I doubt you or I could tell the difference in a blind test, so suggesting the majority of people should be running at these polling rates is probably not helpful.

Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
It's good to limit your fps, but there's nothing wrong with being GPU bound, that's where you want to be. You don't want to be CPU bound, this is where input latency happens as your CPU will become backlogged with interrupts if CPU bound. As for the GPU, being GPU bound doesn't have a negative effect because it's only task is to generate frames, where the CPU handles a lot more unique tasks.-Always limit your fps, preferably to a number which will not leave you in a GPU bound situation, being in a constant GPU bottleneck will introduce additional inputlag. Ideally you should aim for stable fps twice as much as your refresh rate.
Also the mouse polling thing. 1000hz is enough. Windows handles interrupts at 1ms, and 0.5ms if you've modified your timer resolution. 1000hz is 1ms and 2000hz is 0.5ms. 8000hz in theory should be beneficial if current operating systems can handle it, but they can't, so it kind of is snake oil but not really. And it's not a game issue, it's an operating system issue. Your mouse would be generating more mouse reports than the Operating System can handle, so it gets backlogged and then that's where input latency happens.
And using a normal windows install is fine. Your suggestion is overkill. It's like saying, I have 20 apps on my computer, only 1 affects input latency, the solution is to not use the 20 apps at all. Yes windows does have some services and apps that affect input latency, but those are very few and can be solved by just closing or uninstalling/disabling it.
Re: 2025 Anti lag guide in getting new PC and hardware [video proof and no schizo BS]
I don't know what people do wrong but CS2 along other games handles it fine. Absolutely no idea why many people get stuttering or lower performance when it's me who uses 2019 hardware.Softhe wrote: ↑02 Oct 2025, 15:49I don't disagree with anything you've said here but 0 games that have issues with 8k?
