Hello friends, im gathering data for my research as I am one of the many of you who have been frustrated, struggling with "desync" and lag for many years now with no real fix (and yes ive tried hundreds of things talked about all around here).

High level competitive rank players, Valorant Radiants/Immortals, Call of Duty (CoD) Top 250/Iridescent, Apex Predators, CS Faceit Level 10s/Premier 25k+, etc.,
Ive chosen you to survey your set-up. Your answers would mean the world to me.

What city and state do you live in?
What ISP do you have, method of connection (cable, fiber, mobile data) and what plan (mbps up/down)?
What are your PC specs? Please be specific (RAM speed and four main timings, XMP/EXPO?).
What router are you using? UPnP? QoS? DNS other than IP provided? Port forwarding?

These desync and lag issues could be hardware related, location based, or ISP and I want to pinpoint it for the sake of our sanity.

Hi there, would like to contribute. 3k elo SEA FACEIT - been playing since 2015-2016 in 2 different houses so far.
I'd like to think that CSGO was way better in terms of input lag and desync even though there was some present, it isn't as bad as CS2 is currently. Game is so inconsistent.

What city and state do you live in? Singapore

What ISP do you have, method of connection, what plan (mbps up/down)? MyRepublic 10Gbps (Gamer Plan/Broadband with supposedly the best routing) - FTTH, router to modem. Disabled my onboard NIC (Realtek Gaming 2.5Gbe Controller). Currently using a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter from ASIX *mitigates a lot of "mouse issues" felt with onboard.

What are your PC specs? Please be specific (RAM speed and four main timings, XMP/EXPO?).

MOBO: MSI B650M
CPU: 7800X3D
GPU: 4070ti
RAM: G SKILL TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000MHZ CL30 (should be on default EXPO with 30-36-36-96)

What router are you using? UPnP? QoS? DNS other than IP provided? Port forwarding? Archer BE805, also paid for static IP. Didn't touch anything except enabling QoS in router.

Do you feel that static IP is better than dynamic for cs2 ? Cuz I might get one

I had dynamic ip under CGNAT, switched to static, no difference at all.

Nah bro I honestly didn't feel much of a difference, the only network-related difference I've felt so far is going from my onboard N.I.C to the USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter.

what Ethernet adapter from ASIX do you use ? i can buy ethernet adapter with ASIX AX88179 to test . Do you think its good idea to try? I have the same onboard NIC on b550 aorus pro p

Yes, that's the one I'm using. Mine's from Vention. You should definitely give it a shot man, the onboard NIC is so bad that even anything else is better lol
