Even though the QDOLED waveforms are generally better than LCD strobe backlights in terms of ergonomics -- One thing to note, 240Hz+ WOLED waveforms are smoother than QDOLED waveforms, it is something I noticed.
For those choosing OLED to see whether or not they have less eyestrain (or not) than LCD< I recommend testing the 4K 240Hz WOLEDs for those who want to experiment with the least-eyestrain option of WOLED.

I don't know why this is true but i found disabling vsync in both nvcp and in game got rid of my eye strain issues in a massive way. The difference was night and day. I just use vrr with no vsync and since its 480hz its almost never a problem (and can use fps cap if is).
Re: Can t leave the 2010s monitors
Ok update on my part, finally managed to buy and install a LG Ultragear™ OLED 32GS95UV-B.
So far, I don't have that instant eyeburning feeling I got from most of the modern monitor I try. Most other monitor after using them from a day, I would instinctively try to avoid them. That one didn't give me that feeling.
Sadly, after 4 day of use, the monitor is starting to give me some eyestrain.
So so far, my guess is that this monitor solved the main cause of eyepain. But there might be a secondary one. I have diminish the brightness to nearly 0 and the constrast to 50. That seem to help, but now I have trouble to read text on it and the colors are not so good.
So I think we were right on the fact that my main problem about the backlight has been solved with this one. I no longer feel like a vampire in the sun while looking at this monitor. But there seem to be a secondary source of eyestrain. My guess would be that I am so use to the faint light of old monitors dell that the bright light of new monitor is too much my eyes for sustain use.
Anybody has a suggestion on how to deal with that?
