Clicking LMB makes my polling rate to drop down to 125hz

When i am clicking my LMB polling rate drops from 1000hz to 125hz. Every single time. When i am holding LMB (for example spraying with a gun in cs2) my mouse is working at 125hz. How and why this is happening and how can i fix it?
I confirmed this bug with mousetester v1.4 and mousetester v1.7.2.
Does anybody else have this bug?
This is without holding LMB

you can clearly see it on the graphs. it degrates from 1 ms to 8 ms

I tested this on all mine three mice. I pressed the left mouse button and F2, and there was no difference. Do you feel this drop in performance in the game?

yes. something wrong with the windows i guess. but what exactly? i have windows 11 pro 24h2

In the middle of a graph i start holding lmb. From exactly 1ms there is a jump to 8ms

This is because Windows 11 now gives foreground vs background apps different input priority to ensure the foreground apps input are given more CPU time which also reduces ingame stutter. Background apps always get 125hz now unless you override the behavior with the registry.

Here's how you can test if it's related to this feature. In mousetester make sure when you use LMB you're first click is on the mousetester app itself, otherwise mousetester.exe becomes the background app (only gets 125hz) and windows explorer becomes the foreground app if on desktop etc.

Ahh yea if it's dragging around the window, that'll add extra cpu. Otherwise what I shared likely explains what you're seeing unless you can rule it out.
