I finally fixed the issue I had with slow mouse input lag after years of frustration. The solution turned out to be simple I moved my M.2 drive from the top PCIe slot to the bottom one, and it worked! As simple as it sounds, it seems there might be something off with AMD’s direct CPU PCIe slot. If you've ever played Call of Duty and noticed your after-match summary taking forever to load (even on console), this could be because the CPU lane is slowing down the M.2 drive.

Once I switched my M.2 to the chipset PCIe slot, my after-match summary loaded instantly, and my PC feels like it’s running properly again. Maybe Intel doesn’t face this issue, which could explain why some people say Intel doesn’t have input lag.

I hope this helps someone out there! Console players are pretty much stuck with this issue, and there’s no fix for it. Let me know how it works for you. Cheers!

Edit: maybe the new m.2 driver has the same effect.
