Hey everyone!
I've been trying to fight desync for some time now, and tried almost everthing listed on the forum. For years I was on and off the game until yesterday I tried digging through the dxdiag generated document. Turns out most of my input lag was caused by a single tick in NVidia Control Panel. Let me elaborate.
The whole time I was playing I noticed how the game felt heavy and everbody was ferrari peeking me. I couldnt react to golds and silver, and I am an ex-immortal player.
I got digging and I was reading through every line and googling what it does, when I got to "Deinterlacing".
Turns out It's a nvidia function, which smooths object and provides better video quality, well guess what..
The moment I unticked it, everything felt responsive and smooth. The shots were hitting, I could actually peek people and string multiple kills in dm together.
What helped me smooth out the game even further is disabling XMP on an AMD board.
My PC specs are - RTX 2060 VENTUS OC, 5600X CPU, 32 GB RAM, DDR4, MOBO B450 MAX 2 TOMAHAWK.
TLDR What worked for me was:
1. Run stock bios
2. Disable XMP
3. Go to NVidia Control Panel -> Adjust video image settings ->Deinterlacing (have it UNCHECKED)!
In no way am I suggesting this is a universal fix, but It did make my game playable again. Hope It helps at least some fellow lurkers!
Best regards everyone,
Vekz

I have to admit dude things feel a lot better with deinterlacing off, perhaps certain setups arent compatible with it or something

didn't work for me, went to check in cs2 dm, seconds later got peeked 1m wide by a dude with no legs moving
And yeah lowering ram speeds makes it less disgusting to play

Pretty sure this is placebo. That setting appears to be for video playback, not 3d rendering.

Of course they are, because in 99% cases the culprit is not software or hardware, but environment...and they would still say "tHiS iS nOt EMI sEcTiOn", and keep on avoiding the REAL cause...until the next thread, when someone would again find a magical "fix" by changing another obscure, useless setting in registry editor or CMD, for the next 60 minutes until this "fix" would then stop working.adrian_13371 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2026, 15:5899% of all the tweaks people share on this forum are placeboBumFlannel wrote: ↑06 Apr 2026, 09:52Pretty sure this is placebo.
